Brett Lysak
Brett Lysak (born December 30, 1980) is a Canadian former ice hockey player. He played 2 games in the National Hockey League with the Carolina Hurricanes during the 2003–04 season. The rest of his career, which lasted from 2001 to 2013, was spent in various minor leagues and later in Europe. Playing career Lysak was drafted 49th overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, with whom he played two regular season games during the 2002–03 NHL season. He also spent three seasons with the Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League and had a short spell in the East Coast Hockey League with the Florida Everblades. During the NHL lockout, he played in Germany's Deutsche Eishockey Liga with the Iserlohn Roosters. He moved to Serie A in 2005 after playing four games for the Manitoba Moose. Kalamazoo Wings
The Kalamazoo Wings, nicknamed the K-Wings, are a mid-level professional ice hockey team in Kalamazoo, Michigan. A member of the ECHL's Western Conference, Central Division, they play in the 5,113-seat Wings Event Center. They are the affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League, and the Abbotsford Canucks of the American Hockey League. Kalamazoo is home to the "Green Ice Game". Goal (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. A goal awards one point to the team attacking the goal scored upon, regardless of which team the player who actually deflected the puck into the goal belongs to (see also own goal). Typically, a player on the team attempting to score shoots the puck with their stick towards the goal net opening, and a player on the opposing team called a goaltender tries to block the shot to prevent a goal from being scored against their team. Austrian Hockey League
The ICE Hockey League (International Central European Hockey League, ICEHL), known as the win2day ICE Hockey League for sponsorship reasons, is a Central European hockey league that also serves as the top-tier ice hockey league in Austria. It currently features additional teams from Hungary, Italy, and Slovenia. The league was known as the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga (EBEL) from 2003 until 2020 and as the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League during the 2021–22 season. Manitoba Moose
The Manitoba Moose are a professional ice hockey team based in Winnipeg. They are the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League (NHL). Italian Hockey League Serie A, formerly known as Serie A, is the top tier of professional ice hockey in Italy, which first began play in 1925.
