Brain Game (Indiana)
The ''Brain Game'' is a weekly quiz bowl show for high school students that airs on NBC-affiliate WTHR-13 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Originally called ''Exercise in Knowledge'' when introduced in 1972 (under the station's prior call letters, WLWI), the ''Brain Game'' is currently broadcast at 7 pm on Saturdays, and is hosted by WTHR morning meteorologist Chuck Lofton. It is sponsored by Westfield Insurance, which also sponsors four other high school quiz shows. The show is filmed at the WTHR studios on Meridian Street in Indianapolis. The ''Brain Game'' has been filmed in HD since 2008. Chuck Lofton has hosted the ''Brain Game'' since 2013, taking over for meteorologist Chris Wright who hosted from 2000 to 2013. Bob Gregory hosted for 28 years, from the show's start in 1972 until 2000. Until 2008 the show was filmed at the Fairbanks Center at Butler University. WTHR (channel 13) is a television station in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States, affiliated with NBC. It is owned by Tegna Inc. alongside low-power, Class A MeTV affiliate WALV-CD (channel 46). Lawrence North High School
Lawrence North High School is a public high school in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. The school was founded in 1976 and graduated its first class in 1978. Lawrence North is one of two high schools in the Metropolitan School District of Lawrence Township, the other one being Lawrence Central High School. Academics Enrollment As of the 2019–20 school year, Lawrence North has an enrollment of 2,619 students. The student population is mostly African-American, followed equally by White and Latino. Zionsville Community High School
Zionsville Community High School (ZCHS) is a 4-year public high school located in Boone County, Zionsville, Indiana, United States. It is the only high school in the Zionsville Community School Corporation. History The high school was established in 1885 and graduated its first class in 1888. At that time it was located in the second-floor chapel of "The Academy", a small, brick, school house built in 1867 on Walnut Hill. Today, that site is the home of Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library. In 1910, it was commissioned as Eagle Township High School. The Chapel building was torn down in 1922 and replaced in 1924. Warren Central High School, also known as Warren, WC, or WCHS, is a public high school located in Warren Township on the far east side of Indianapolis, Indiana. It is the only high school in Warren Township with an enrollment of 3,736 students, in grades 9-12, as of the 2016-2017 school year. Warren Central is known as "The Pride of the Eastside". Westfield High School is a public high school located in Westfield, Indiana, north of Indianapolis. Westfield High School is part of the Westfield Washington School District and is commonly abbreviated as "WHS." History The shamrock was chosen to represent the school's athletic teams due to the significant population of Quakers living in the community who preferred a nonviolent mascot. From 1968, up until 1997, the school was on the south side of Hoover Street. The former high school is still standing, and forms the west end of Westfield Middle School. Cathedral High School is a private Catholic high school in Indianapolis, Indiana. The school serves approximately 1,200 students in grades 9 to 12. The school was founded in Archdiocese of Indianapolis by Bishop Joseph Chartrand in 1918 and was run by the Brothers of Holy Cross until it became independent by the late 1970s. Holy Cross returned to the school in 2011. History The school was founded as a boys high school by the Brothers of Holy Cross in 1918.
