Bo Bolinger
Virgilee Clinton "Bo" Bolinger (December 26, 1932 – August 5, 2011) was an American football guard who played one season with the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was drafted by the Chicago Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL) in the thirteenth round of the 1956 NFL Draft. Bolinger played college football at the University of Oklahoma and attended Central High School in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was a consensus All-American in 1955. Bolinger also served as a football coach and scout for various organizations. Early years Bolinger played football at Central High School in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was a member of the "B Boys" that included Kurt and Robert Burris and Max Boydston. They had all played high school football together and went on to play for the Oklahoma Sooners. Brian Bolinger is an American football official in the National Football League (NFL) who serves as a line judge and down judge. He has been with the NFL since 2017, and previously was a high school and college official. Bolinger started as a high school official in the 1990s. He was an NCAA Division III official from 2001 to 2004, an NCAA Division II official in 2005, a Mid-American Conference official from 2006 to 2012, and a Big Ten Conference official from 2013 until being hired by the NFL in 2017. In 2020, he officiated his first playoff game, between the Baltimore Ravens and Tennessee Titans. Dwight Le Merton Bolinger (August 18, 1907 – February 23, 1992) was an American linguist and Professor of Romance Languages and Literatures at Harvard University. He began his career as the first editor of the "Among the New Words" feature for '' American Speech''. As an expert in Spanish, he was elected president of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese in 1960. He was known for the support and encouragement he gave younger scholars and for his hands-on approach to the analysis of human language. His work touched on a wide range of subjects, including semantics, intonation, phonesthesia, and the politics of language. Bollinger () is a French Champagne house, a producer of sparkling wines from the Champagne region. Founded in 1829 in Aÿ by Hennequin de Villermont, Paul Renaudin and Jacques Bollinger, the house continues to be run by members of the Bollinger family. In Britain, Bollinger Champagnes are affectionately known as "Bolly". History Bollinger has roots in the Champagne region dating back to 1585 when the Hennequins, one of the Bollinger founding families, owned land in Cramant.
