Boken Till Dig
Boken till Dig is a book of poetry published in 1983 by the Swedish artist Jan Widströmer. The book combines Widströmer's poems with his artwork. Widströmer emphasizes that "Boken till dig" is more than an illustrated collection of poems - it is more of a "poetical whole". The drawings and the poems go hand-in-hand and together they form a continuity and a combined experience which goes further than the individual piece of artwork. The drawings as well as the poems are influenced by nature, life, death and love. The poems could be characterized as "haikuish" - that is short and powerful, often meditative, usually with multiple possible interpretations. Jan Widströmer
Jan Widströmer (born 31 December 1944) is a Swedish artist. Early life and education Widströmer's father was a primary school teacher and a founder of a school for adults of which he was the headmaster; his mother was a piano teacher. Widströmer continued his university studies in English language and literature and basics of the North Germanic languages, focusing on the history of culture, art and literature. By the end of the 1970s, Widströmer moved to Falkenberg in the county of Halland with his wife. Artworks In 1980, Widströmer's first solo exhibition was presented at the local gallery. It was a success which caused much interest and curiosity; especially as his work was quite different from the other local artists in those days. Since then he has exhibited his art through the years on different locations in Sweden as well as in other countries. Laholm
Laholm () is a town and the seat of Laholm Municipality, Halland County, Sweden, with 6,527 inhabitants in 2015. Laholm is, despite its small population, for historical reasons often still referred to as a ''city''. In the 13th century, Laholm was the first in Halland to receive city rights. The town is located at the estuary of the river Lagan in the Bay of Laholm. History Laholm is one of Sweden's oldest cities and the oldest in the province of Halland. ''Hallands Nyheter'' is a Swedish newspaper, founded by Artur Lagerihn in 1905. The newspaper is published in Falkenberg. It has a daily circulation of 31,600 and is owned by Stampen AB. The editorial page supports Centerpartiet. It is printed six days a week, daily except Sunday. The paper employs about 150 people and has annual revenue of 130 million Swedish kronor.
