''Bodies'' is the eleventh studio album by American rock band AFI. The album was released through Rise Records on June 11, 2021. Seven singles, six of which were concurrently released as double A-sides, were released ahead of the album: "Twisted Tongues" / "Escape from Los Angeles" were the lead-off singles, released in January 2021. Both charted in the ''Billboard'' Alternative Digital Songs, making it their first album since ''Burials'' that had multiple singles chart. The third and fourth singles, " Looking Tragic / Begging for Trouble" were released in February 2021. The fifth and sixth singles, "Dulcería / Far Too Near" were concurrently released in mid-April 2021. The final single, "Tied to a Tree", was released as a standalone A-side, and was released in late May 2021, two weeks before the album release. AFI (band)
AFI (abbreviation for A Fire Inside) is an American Rock music, rock band from Ukiah, California, formed in 1991. Since 1998, it consists of lead vocalist Davey Havok, drummer and backing vocalist Adam Carson, bassist, backing vocalist and keyboardist Hunter Burgan, and guitarist, backing vocalist and keyboardist Jade Puget. Havok and Carson are the sole remaining original members. Originally a hardcore punk band, they have since delved into many genres, starting with horror punk and following through post-hardcore and emo into alternative rock and gothic rock. AFI has released eleven studio albums, ten Extended play, EPs, one live album and one DVD. Black Sails In The Sunset
''Black Sails in the Sunset'' is the fourth studio album by American rock band AFI. It was released on May 18, 1999, through Nitro Records. With the addition of guitarist Jade Puget as a permanent member, it is the first AFI album to feature the current line-up of the band. Background and music The band members, sans Jade Puget, were roommates when guitarist Mark Stopholese departed AFI. Puget had just graduated from college and was living in Davey Havok's room while the band was on tour. They asked him to join the band as the new guitarist and immediately began writing the album; Puget had already written the basis for "Malleus Maleficarum". The band describes the album as forming the beginning of their subsequent sound, which contains more melodic vocals, as opposed to their first three albums, which maintain a fast, non-melodic punk sound. Adam Carson
Adam Alexander Carson (born February 5, 1975) is the drummer of the alternative rock band AFI. He and Davey Havok are the two original members left in the lineup. Carson also filled in as drummer for the psychobilly band Tiger Army. His drumming can be found on Tiger Army's ''Early Years EP'' as well as their debut album ''Tiger Army''. Carson was also a member of Influence 13 – a band formed by Nick 13, Jade Puget (who joined AFI in 1998), Geoff Kresge (who left AFI in 1996), and two other friends. Linda Strawberry
Linda Strawberry is an American artist, director, production designer, editor and musician, best known for her work on tours and music videos, as well as her creative collaborations with Billy Corgan. Career Initially working under her birth name Linda Rowberry, Strawberry collaborated with Especially For Youth on ''I Know My Redeemer Lives'' (2000) and with David Coverdale on '' Into the Light'' (2001) She spent some time working as a recording engineer, most notably working on Sarah Mclachlan's ''Afterglow'' (2002) which has since sold over 4 million copies. Billy Corgan
William Patrick Corgan Jr. (born March 17, 1967) is an American guitarist, singer, songwriter, and professional wrestling promoter. He is best known as the co-founder, lead guitarist, primary songwriter, singer, and only constant member of alternative rock band The Smashing Pumpkins. Corgan is credited with helping popularize the alternative rock genre. He has also been the owner and promoter of the National Wrestling Alliance since 2017. 2000trees is an independent rock music festival held over three days at Upcote Farm, Withington, near Cheltenham in Gloucestershire, with a focus on upcoming and underground acts.
