Bob Watson (lacrosse)
Bob "Whipper" Watson (born April 6, 1970) is a former goaltender for the Toronto Rock in the National Lacrosse League and is regarded as one of the best goaltenders ever to play indoor lacrosse. Watson won six NLL Championships with the Rock, and was named Championship Game MVP in both 2003 and 2011. Watson was named NLL Goaltender of the Year in 2001 and again in 2008. After 13 years in Toronto and winning 6 Championships, Watson decided to retire to devote his time to family and a new job with the Waterloo Regional Police Service. Ontario Raiders
The Ontario Raiders were a member of the National Lacrosse League during the 1998 NLL season. The franchise was founded as an expansion team in Hamilton, Ontario, and played their home games at Copps Coliseum. Former Buffalo Bandits coach Les Bartley was hired to coach the new team, and he lured former Bandit Jim Veltman to join him, becoming the Raiders' captain. The team finished a respectable 6-6 in their inaugural season, but missed the playoffs on a tie-breaker. Following the season, losses of $250,000 forced owner Chris Fritz to look for partners. Toronto Rock
The Toronto Rock are a Canadian professional box lacrosse team based in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area that competes in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). The team was the first Canadian franchise in the NLL. The Rock play their home games at the Hamilton Arena in Hamilton, Ontario. The franchise was founded in 1998 as the Ontario Raiders in Hamilton. The Raiders played at Copps Coliseum before being sold to a group of investors led by then Toronto Maple Leafs Assistant GM Bill Watters, who relocated the franchise to Toronto. They were subsequently renamed the "Toronto Rock", and began play at Maple Leaf Gardens in the 1999 season. The Toronto Rock won their 6th league championship on May 15, 2011. Cody Jamieson (born July 17, 1987) is an Iroquois professional box lacrosse player. He plays for the Halifax Thunderbirds of the National Lacrosse League and the Six Nations Chiefs in Major Series Lacrosse. Jamieson is a former attackman for Syracuse University, where he obtained a degree in Communications. National Lacrosse League Jamieson was selected first overall by the Rochester Knighthawks in the 2010 NLL draft. He had 53 points in his rookie season and finished second to Curtis Dickson in the Rookie of the Year voting. Jamieson became the ''de facto'' offensive leader of the Knighthawks in his second season, leading the team with 36 goals and 85 points as the Knighthawks captured their third Champion's Cup. Lewis Ratcliff
Lewis Ratcliff (born April 24, 1981) is an English-Canadian former professional lacrosse player. Originally from London, England, Ratcliff moved to Victoria at the age of 7. NLL career Ratcliff was drafted 49th overall by the Calgary Roughnecks in the 2001 NLL entry draft. In 2004, the Roughnecks won the Champion's Cup, defeating the Buffalo Bandits in Buffalo. In 2006, Ratcliff was named MVP of the NLL All-Star Game, scoring 4 goals, one of which was the game winner with only 4.4 seconds left in the game. On March 25, 2008, Ratcliff was traded to the Toronto Rock for forward Josh Sanderson. After a single season in Toronto, Ratcliff was traded back west to the Washington Stealth along with Tyler Codron and Joel Dalgarno in a blockbuster deal for former NLL MVP Colin Doyle. Ken Montour
Ken "Monster" Montour (born September 9, 1979 in Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation) is a former professional box lacrosse player in the National Lacrosse League. Montour played 8 seasons in the NLL, most of them with the Buffalo Bandits. Montour is an Ontario Lacrosse Hall of Fame, NLL Champion & Mann Cup Champion. Anthony Cosmo (lacrosse)
Anthony Cosmo (born October 6, 1977) is a Canadian former professional box lacrosse goaltender and current goaltending coach in the National Lacrosse League. Cosmo is a three-time NLL All-Star, and was named NLL Goaltender of the Year in 2007. Cosmo also plays for the Brampton Excelsiors (MSL) Major Series Lacrosse Senior A Men's league. Cosmo began his lacrosse career with the Junior A Mississauga Tomahawks of the Ontario Lacrosse Association. He then went on to play for the Burnaby Lakers of the BC Junior A Lacrosse League. In 1998, playing with fellow stars Cam Sedgwick and Kaleb Toth, Cosmo and the Lakers won the Minto Cup. Cosmo then went on to play for the Victoria Shamrocks of the Western Lacrosse Association. Curtis Palidwor (born January 16, 1973, in New Westminster, British Columbia) is a former goaltender for the Calgary Roughnecks in the National Lacrosse League.
