Bob Lesnett
Bob Lesnett (born 27 September 1953) is a former Sportscar and Formula racing driver, team owner and race engineer. With 14 championships, over 60 career wins, Lesnett's career spanned the most competitive amateur open wheel series (Formula Ford, Sports 2000 and F2000) and includes numerous professional accomplishments including winning the 24 Hours of Daytona and a driver and engineer, winning the Sebring 12 hours and SCCA National, Divisional and Regional Championships. Racing career Bob Lesnett started racing just out of college in formula V, and quickly progressed into regional Formula Ford Racing. In 1980 he founded Pfeiffer Ridge Racing, a full service support shop for Formula Ford, Atlantic, F2000 and Sports 2000 competitors. Timo Bernhard
Timo Bernhard (born 24 February 1981) is a former driver from Germany. He was a sports car driver from Porsche, but was seconded to Audi for selected events in 2009 and 2010. He is a winner of the Triple Crown in endurance racing. On 29 June 2018, he became the first person in 35 years to break the all-time Nürburgring Nordschleife lap record, set by Stefan Bellof in 1983 with a Porsche 956, in a derestricted Porsche 919 Evo with a time of 5:19.546. Early career Bernhard was born in Homburg, Saarland. He debuted in karting in 1991. He finished 5th at the CIK/FIA Junior World Championship and was crowned German junior champion. Michael Schrom is an American racing driver from Ghent, New York. Schrom was a full-time competitor in Porsche Carrera Cup series who also drove a Porsche 911 in the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2003. In 2003, The Racer's Group Porsche driven by Schrom, team owner Kevin Buckler, Timo Bernhard, and Jörg Bergmeister was the surprise overall winner of the race. Kevin Buckler (born c. 1959) is an American race car driver and entrepreneur. He founded Adobe Road Winery and currently owns The Racer's Group, a professional sports car racing team; TRG Motorsports, formerly a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team; and TRG-AMR. In 2019, Kevin launched a $56 racing-themed wine aptly named SHIFT. It comes from Adobe Road, a boutique winery in Sonoma County California. Atlantic Championship
The Atlantic Championship is a formula race car series with races throughout North America. It has been called Champ Car Atlantics (after its former name), Toyota Atlantics (due to the series' previous history of using Toyota-powered engines), or just Atlantics or Formula Atlantic, although the latter two terms risk confusion with the Sports Car Club of America's amateur Formula Atlantics division. Cajon Speedway
Cajon Speedway is a former oval race track near El Cajon, California. History Located between Gillespie Field and the San Vicente Freeway a 0.25 mile dirt oval track opened in 1961. Named Cajon Speedway the track expanded to a 0.375 mile dirt track in 1964. As of 1966 the 0.375 mile oval was paved. The track was founded by Earle Brucker Sr. who also founded El Cajon Stock Car Racing Association (ECSCRA). In 1978 the ECSCRA Super Stocks championship was won by Ron Esau. Between 1986 and 2004, local drivers also competed for the Whelen All-American Series crown. John Borneman Jr., father of Johnny Borneman III, won the track championship in 1992. Mesa Marin Raceway
Mesa Marin Raceway was a paved oval race track, located near the junction of CA 178 and CA 184 (Kern Canyon Road), east of Bakersfield, California. It opened in 1977 and was owned by Marion Collins throughout its existence. The Collins family helped start the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (then-Craftsman SuperTruck Series) in 1995, and hosted nine races in that series at the track between 1995 and 2003. Mesa Marin also hosted 45 races for the Winston West Series and for NASCAR's Southwest Tour. The last race was held at Mesa Marin on October 16, 2005, as the track was sold for a housing development to be constructed on the site. The USF2000 Championship Presented by Cooper Tires is an American racing series using the American variation of the Formula Ford formula, "F2000", that resumed operation for the 2010 season. As of 2022, it is sanctioned by the United States Auto Club, and is the first rung of the Road to Indy.
