Bluradio
Blu Radio is a radio station in Bogotá, Colombia, owned by Caracol TV. In July 2012, Caracol TV leased HJMD (the frequency of Melodía FM Estéreo, an easy listening station) from Cadena Melodía, in order to create a news radio station. Test broadcasts started soon after, with a soft AC format and simulcasting '' Noticias Caracol''. Blu Radio started definitive broadcasts 6 September 2012. The news director is ''Noticias Caracol'' presenter Juan Roberto Vargas, and the morning news programme is presented by Néstor Morales, former Caracol Radio personality. Since late 2016, Blu Radio Bogotá broadcasts at 89.9 MHz after Caracol TV purchased Radial Bogotá, the owner of HJCK, a classical music and cultural radio station whose frequency were leased by Caracol Radio in 2005. HJCK
HJCK El Mundo en Bogotá is a Colombian cultural radio station, founded 15 September 1950 and based in Bogotá. HJCK became an online-only station in 2005. HJCK was founded by intellectuals Eduardo Caballero Calderón, Hernando and Alfonso Martínez Rueda, Alfonso Peñaranda, Gonzalo Rueda Caro, Álvaro Castaño Castillo and his wife, Gloria Valencia de Castaño, as the first privately owned cultural radio station in Colombia. They bought Radio Granadina, an AM station in Bogotá (HJCK would move to FM in 1967). Its slogan, "El Mundo en Bogotá", comes after one of its first programmes, which included Gabriel García Márquez as its correspondent in Caracas. In 2000 HJCK expanded its programming, at the time devoted to classical music and cultural programmes, to include other music genres, such as blues, jazz, bossa nova, son cubano, and classic rock. HJCU ( AM 730 kHz)is a radio station in Bogotá, Colombia, part of the Cadena Melodía network. Since its inception, it has been focused on the easy listening genre, with some news on mornings and afternoons on weekdays. The radio station ceased to broadcast on FM because the owners of the frequency decided to lease it to Grupo Valorem, a Colombian group that owns Caracol Televisión Caracol Televisión (known as Caracol and previously as Canal Caracol) is a Colombian free-to-air television network owned by Caracol Medios, a unit of Grupo Valorem. Cadena Melodía is a Colombian radio network, founded in 1971 by Liberal politician Efraín Páez Espitia, who owned Radio Melodía of Bogotá since 1959. Neiva () is the capital of the Department of Huila. It is located in the valley of the Magdalena River in south central Colombia with a population of about 357,392 inhabitants.
