Blackout Crew
The Blackout Crew are a donk/ rap group originally featuring 5 rap artists, formed from the Bards of Oldham – Jordan Cover, Kevin Allison, Rob Davis, Zak Kabbani and Kurtis Chadwick – from Halliwell, Bolton, Greater Manchester. Their 2009 album ''Time 2 Shine'' peaked at No. 42 in the UK. Their album contained three singles: "Bbbounce", "Put a Donk on It" and "Dialled". The lines "You know what you wanna do with that, right? You wanna put a bangin' donk on it" were frequently used in the opening of the BBC Radio 2/BBC Radio 6 Music programme ''Radcliffe & Maconie'', being generally favoured by Mark Radcliffe. The Blackout Crew worked with electronic group Metronomy to provide a B-side remix for their 2008 single "A Thing for Me". Halliwell is predominantly a residential area of Bolton, Greater Manchester, England. It gives its name to an ward (politics), electoral ward of the wider Metropolitan Borough of Bolton. Metronomy are an English electronic music band, formed in Totnes in 1999. Their lineup consists of founding member and leader Joseph Mount (vocals, keyboards, guitar), Oscar Cash (keyboards, backing vocals, guitar, saxophone), Anna Prior (drums, backing vocals), Olugbenga Adelekan (bass, backing vocals), and Michael Lovett (keyboards, guitar). Mark Radcliffe (born 29 June 1958) is an English radio broadcaster, musician and writer. He is best known for his broadcasting work for the BBC, for which he has worked in various roles since the 1980s. UK Hard House
UK hard house or simply hard house is a style of electronic dance music that emerged in the early 1990s and is synonymous with its association to the Trade club and the associated DJs there that created the style. It often features a speedy tempo (around 150 BPM but hard house ranges from around 135 BPM to around 165 BPM), offbeat bass stabs, hoovers and horns. It usually contains a break in the middle of the track where no drums are present. UK hard house often uses a long and sharp string note to create suspense. ''Radcliffe & Maconie'' is a weekend radio programme broadcast on BBC Radio 6 Music in the United Kingdom and via the internet.
