Black Spiders are an English rock band based in Sheffield, England. Their third studio album entered the UK Independent Albums Chart in early 2021, reaching no. 7. History The band formed in early 2008, originally playing a few shows under the name 'The Black Spiders'. They released a three-track single entitled ''St. Peter'' in December 2008, to coincide with a small run of dates with Airbourne across mainland Europe in December of the same year - their first ever tour. A four-track EP, ''Cinco Hombres, Diez Cojones'' followed in June 2009, shortly after the band's first appearance at the Download festival at Castle Donington. This was to be the first release on the band’s own record label, Dark Riders. Wacken Open Air (, abbreviated as W:O:A) is a Heavy metal music, heavy metal music festival, held annually since 1990 on the first weekend of August in the village of Wacken, Schleswig-Holstein, Wacken in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Stone Gods were a British hard rock band formed by former members of The Darkness in 2006. Their debut album, titled '' Silver Spoons & Broken Bones'', was released in July 2008, with the first single "Knight of the Living Dead" being released in June 2008. Heaven & Hell (band)
Heaven & Hell was a British-American heavy metal supergroup active from 2006 to 2010, featuring guitarist Tony Iommi, bassist Geezer Butler, vocalist Ronnie James Dio and drummer Vinny Appice, essentially the Black Sabbath lineup (Appice replaced Bill Ward during the Heaven and Hell album tour) from 1980-82 and from the 1992 album, Dehumanizer. The four members of Heaven & Hell recorded and toured together as Black Sabbath from 1980 to 1982 and from 1991 to 1992. Dio had replaced founding Black Sabbath vocalist Ozzy Osbourne and Appice had replaced founding drummer Bill Ward. ZZ Top is an American rock band formed in Houston, Texas, in 1969. For almost 56 years, it consisted of vocalist-guitarist Billy Gibbons, drummer Frank Beard (musician), Frank Beard, and bassist-vocalist Dusty Hill prior to his death in 2021. ZZ Top developed a signature sound based on Gibbons' blues style and Hill and Beard's rhythm section. High Voltage was a music festival, held twice in Victoria Park, London. The event hosted artists from various strands of rock music, including classic rock, progressive rock, and heavy metal. The first festival was held on 24 and 25 July 2010. The second took place on 23 and 24 July 2011. The festival was not held in 2012 to avoid clashing with the London Olympics, and it did not return in 2013. The Zwarte Cross Festival is the largest paid festival in the Netherlands, and the largest motor event in the world. The 20th edition in 2016 numbered 220,000 visitors, the 26th edition in 2024 did count for 265,500 guests. The festival is a combination of motor cross, music, theatre and stunts. 'Zwarte Cross' literally means 'black cross'; it is a reference to the illegal motocross races in the 1960s. Hard Rock Hell is a three day music festival held at Vauxhall Holiday resort, Great Yarmouth. It was previously held at Hafan y Môr Holiday Park, Pwllheli, Gwynedd, North Wales, and up until 2011 at Pontin's Holiday Village, Prestatyn, Wales. Holding the festival in a holiday camp gives the organisers pre-built venues and stages and because of the on-site accommodation allows them to hold a multi day festival over winter/spring months when outdoor camping is not desirable.
