Gregg Bissonette
Gregg Bissonette (born June 9, 1959) is an American jazz and rock drummer and vocalist. He is the brother of bassist Matt Bissonette, with whom he frequently collaborates. Bissonette is known for playing and recording many different styles of music. That experience led to him winning the 2023 '' Modern Drummer'' readers poll for best "All Around" drummer and also winning their 2015 category of best "Studio" drummer. He has played on albums by dozens of recording artists, including David Lee Roth's first three solo albums and has toured as part of Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band since 2008. Career One of Bissonette's first recordings was on jazz trumpet legend Maynard Ferguson's ''Live from San Francisco'' in 1983. Brother Matt was also in the band and on the recording. He later appeared on Brandon Fields' ''The Other Side of the Story'' in 1985. It featured David Garfield on keyboards. Matt Bissonette (born July 25, 1961) is an American bass player and vocalist. According to ''Guitar 9'', an online musicianship magazine, he has played bass and other stringed instruments on at least 22 albums, with music styles ranging from jazz, jazz fusion, progressive metal and instrumental rock. Adelphia Louis Bissonette (September 6, 1899 – June 9, 1972) was an American professional baseball player, coach and manager. He played in Major League Baseball as a first baseman for the Brooklyn Dodgers (then known as the Brooklyn Robins) from to . After his playing career Bissonette continued to work in professional baseball as a coach and manager. Playing career Born in Winthrop, Maine, Bissonette attended Kents Hill School, Westbrook Seminary, the University of New Hampshire and Georgetown University before signing a professional baseball contract with Valleyfield– Cap de la Madeleine in the Class B Eastern Canada League in 1922. Charles Arthur Bissonette (27 December 1896 – 26 April 1971) was an American pursuit pilot and a flying ace in World War I.Franks (1992) Over the Front: A Complete Record of the Fighter Aces and Units of the United States and French Air Services, 1914-1918 , Grub Street the Basement; First edition (May 1992), He died in Los Angeles, California, on 26 April 1971. Early life Charles was the son of Alfred M. and Joohana Bissonette. World War I Charles began the war serving two years in the United States Naval Reserve. In October 1916, he went to Canada with the intention of enlisting in the Canadian Over-Seas Expeditionary Force and did so on October 17 of the same year. In March 1917, Charles joined the Royal Flying Corps. He flew the S.E.5a fighter plane with 64 Squadron in 1918, while scoring six victories before being reassigned to 24 Squadron on 24 September 1918.
