William Frank (politician)
William Charles Frank (24 July 1923 – 18 January 2023) was a Canadian Progressive Conservative Party of Canada, Progressive Conservative politician who was a member of the House of Commons of Canada. He was a businessman and merchant by career and was very involved in his local community. Life and career Frank was born in London Township, Ontario on 24 July 1923. He first attempted to seek election as a Member of Parliament at the Middlesex (federal electoral district), Middlesex riding in the 1968 Canadian federal election, 1968 federal election but was defeated by Jim Lind (politician), Jim Lind of the Liberal Party of Canada, Liberal party. Frank made another attempt in the 1972 Canadian federal election, 1972 general election and succeeded, however, he only served in the 29th Canadian Parliament. Bill Frank
William B. Frank, Jr. (April 13, 1938 – June 26, 2014) was a Canadian football offensive tackle in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the BC Lions, Toronto Argonauts and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He also was a member of the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Colorado. He is a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame. Early years Frank attended West High School. He enrolled at San Diego Junior College in 1959, where he was named to the junior college All-American team. After his sophomore season he transferred to the University of Colorado, playing until he was declared ineligible when the school was placed on probation by the NCAA in 1962. He was named a member of Colorado's all-time all-star team. He was also practiced wrestling. William Frank (athlete)
William Gottlieb Frank (December 1, 1878 – March 31, 1965) was an American track and field athlete who was born in Besigheim, Ludwigsburg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. He arrived in the United States in 1889. Frank was a member of the Irish American Athletic Club and the Twenty-Second Regiment of the New York National Guard. Frank was also a police officer assigned to the New York City Police Department's 74th Precinct. Competing as a member of the New York National Guard, Twenty-second Regiment, Frank won the 3-mile race for the championship of the Military Athletic League in 1905. William Augustus Franke (born April 15, 1937) is an American airline investor who is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Indigo Partners LLC, a private equity fund focused in air transportation. He has been the President at Franke and Company, Inc. since 1987. Franke has been Chairman of Wizz Air since 2004, as well as Chairman of Frontier Airlines since 2013.
