Billy Daniel Bunter
Daniel Light (born 1974 or 1975), known professionally as Billy 'Daniel' Bunter, is a British disc jockey and record producer. A veteran of the hard dance rave scene, Bunter combines the "old skool" and the "new skool". Biography Bunter, who was 25 years old in the year 2000, started his DJ career at age 15, playing Belgian hardcore and breakbeat at clubs such as '' The Labrynth'' in Dalston. Called a "pioneer of the rave scene" by DJ Mag, he has been active within the genre since it's beginning, and has performed at many UK events such as Helter Skelter, Dreamscape, Slammin Vinyl, and Hardcore Heaven. Bunter also produces and remixes tracks, having sold records, and has an "ability to blend old and new skool" which has "kept the magic alive and his light burning bright throughout the years". Happy Hardcore
Happy hardcore, also known as 4-beat or happycore, is a subgenre of hardcore dance music or " hard dance". It emerged both from the UK breakbeat hardcore rave scene, and Belgian, German and Dutch hardcore techno scenes in the early 1990s. What makes happy hardcore stand apart from gabber is that happy hardcore tends to have breakbeats running alongside the 4/4 kick drum. History Origins The breakbeat hardcore rave scene was beginning to fragment by late 1992 into a number of subsequent breakbeat-based genres: darkcore (tracks embracing dark-themed samples and stabs), hardcore jungle (reggae basslines and influences became prominent), and 4-beat also known as "happy hardcore" where piano rolls and uplifting vocals were still central to the sound. ''Mixmag'' is a British electronic dance and clubbing magazine published in London. Launched in 1983 as a print magazine, it has branched into dance events, including festivals and club nights. Colin Meon, known professionally as Jon Doe, is a British hard dance disc jockey and record producer. Doe has charted several times in the UK Dance Chart, and also releases music as CLSM including the track "John Peel Is Not Enough". Biography Doe released the single "Fire/Always", which samples the sixties track “ Always Something There To Remind Me" in a gabba style, in 1996. He has produced several singles which have charted in the UK, including "NRG" which peaked at number 18 on the UK Dance Chart in 2000. In 2001, Doe collaborated with Billy Daniel Bunter to release the hard house single "Clap Your Hands", which also reached number 18 on the UK Dance Singles Chart. Andy Farley
Andy Farley (born 1966 or 1967) is a British hard house disc jockey and record producer from Tamworth, Staffordshire. Known as the "King of Hard House", Farley plays live sets and produces records, a number of which have achieved success in the UK Dance Chart. Biography Farley, who was aged 35 in 2002, is from Tamworth in Staffordshire. He has held DJ residencies at nightclubs including Frantic, Sundissential, Progress and Storm. Farley also performs at music festivals, including in 2001 headlining Dance Valley, Gatecrasher and Godskitchen. He has produced and released music on a number of labels, including Tidy Trax and Nukleuz. The media has dubbed Farley the "King of Hard House".
