Big Guns (Dad's Army)
"Big Guns" is the seventh episode of the third series of the British comedy series ''Dad's Army''. It was originally transmitted on 23 October 1969. The episode was recorded Sunday 6 July 1969. Synopsis The platoon is given heavy artillery and, directly in the line of fire of their naval gun, the town's bandstand is at grave risk. Plot Captain Mainwaring and Sergeant Wilson are discussing a church parade in the Vicar's office when they are interrupted by the Verger, accompanied by an official from Pickfords, complaining that a large artillery gun has been left in the yard. It is revealed to be a Ordnance QF 13 pounder, 13 pounder naval gun and Mainwaring is very impressed. Jones explains that when he was in Mahdist War, the Sudan, the only heavy weapons they used were Gatling guns. Mainwaring calls in Frazer, who was in the navy, to tell them how the gun works, but Frazer reveals that, despite being present at the Battle of Jutland and a chief petty officer, he was only a cook. ... ''Big Guns'' is a 1987 gay pornographic film produced by the Laguna Pacific studio and distributed by Catalina Video. The cast included Mike Henson, Kevin Williams, Chad Douglas, Chris Gray, Jeff Boote, Jeff Quinn, John Davenport, John Rocklin, Kevin Wiles, and Mike Ryan. The film was re-released on DVD in 2007 as "Big Guns: 20th Anniversary Edition" and was remastered, color corrected and restored with its original ending cut from the original feature film. The 20th anniversary version runs 122 minutes. A sequel, "Hot Rods: The Young and the Hung Part 2," was shot concurrently and released the following year. "Big Guns" ends with a cliff-hanger scene that plays out as the first scene in "Hot Rods." Steven Jay Israel (born May 30, 1958) is an American political commentator, lobbyist, author, bookseller, and former politician. He served as a U.S. representative from New York from 2001 to 2017. A member of the Democratic Party, he was elected in until 2013 and until his retirement. At the time of his departure from Congress, his district included portions of northern Nassau County and Suffolk County on Long Island, as well as a small portion of Queens in New York City. William Rory Gallagher ( ; 2 March 1948 – 14 June 1995) was an Irish musician, singer, and songwriter. "The Big Guns" is the twelfth episode of the sixth season of the American sitcom ''Modern Family'', and the series' 132nd episode overall. It originally aired on January 14, 2015. Plot Ronnie (Steve Zahn) and Amber (Andrea Anders) get a boat and they park it on their front lawn, something that makes Claire (Julie Bowen) and Phil (Ty Burrell) furious.
