Big Boss (film)
''Big Boss'' is a 1995 Indian Telugu language, Telugu-language film directed by Vijaya Bapineedu. The film stars Chiranjeevi, Roja Selvamani, Roja, Kota Srinivasa Rao and Madhavi (actress), Madhavi in important roles. The film was also dubbed and released in Malayalam under the same title. It was a failure at the box office. Plot The movie starts with a young man Surendra (Chiranjeevi) landing in a town for a job. He witnesses rivalry between two mafia gangs at that place. After a fight with a street goon, he is recognized by one gang and encouraged to become a don. He rents a room in Madhavi's house, who lives with her sister Roja and granny (Nirmalamma). After few routine scenes, Roja falls in love with Surendra and expresses her love. But Bavaraju Surendra becomes uncertain about his future, rejects Roja's proposal and starts looking for matches for her. Vijaya Bapineedu
Gutta Bapineedu Chowdary (22 September 1936 – 11 February 2019), popularly known as Vijaya Bapineedu, was an Indian film director, producer, screenwriter, publisher, and novelist known for his works in Telugu cinema. Bapineedu began his career by writing detective stories and later launched the popular magazine ''Vijaya'', which was noted for its unique format and extensive content. This success earned him the nickname 'Vijaya' Bapineedu. He further expanded his publishing career with several successful ventures, including the children's magazine ''Bommarillu'', and authored several novels. Tanikella Bharani
Tanikella Bharani (born 14 July 1954) is an Indian actor, screenwriter, poet and playwright who works predominantly in Telugu cinema. He has worked as an actor in more than 750 films, including few in Tamil, Kannada and Hindi; while he was also screenwriter for 52 films. He has won three Nandi Awards. Sujatha (actress)
Sujatha (10 December 1952 – 6 April 2011) was an Indian actress who performed and starred in a variety of unique characters in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films- in addition to few in Kannada and Hindi languages as well. The actress was best known for restraint and subtlety in portrayal of varied emotions. After starring in numerous Malayalam films in her mother-tongue, Sujatha later got introduced to the Tamil film industry by veteran director K. Balachander and producer P.R. Govindarajan as a protagonist in her first Tamil film, '' Aval Oru Thodar Kathai'' (1974). It was a critically acclaimed film and launched the actress's first commecrical breakthrough in her acting career. She died of a cardiac arrest on 6 April 2011 in Chennai (aged 58).
