Babu Mohan debuted in the film ''Ee Prasnaku Baduledi'', followed by ''Ahuthi'' (directed by
Kodi Ramakrishna), ''
Ankusam'' and then a comedy character in ''

Mohan is married to Indira Vijaya Lakshmi. Their eldest son, Pally Pavan Kumar, died in a road accident on 12 October 2003.
