Patricia Bergquist
Dame Patricia Rose Bergquist (née Smyth, 10 March 1933 – 9 September 2009) was a New Zealand zoologist who specialised in anatomy and taxonomy. At the time of her death, she was professor emerita of zoology and honorary professor of anatomy with radiology at the University of Auckland. Early life, family and education Born Patricia Rose Smyth in the Auckland suburb of Devonport on 10 March 1933, Bergquist was the daughter of William Smyth, an electrician, and Bertha Ellen ( Penny) Smyth, a homemaker. She had a younger brother Norman and a sister Catherine. She was educated at Devonport Primary School, and then Takapuna Grammar School where she was dux in her final year. Thorwald Bergquist
Thorwald Bergquist (1 December 1899 – 3 December 1972) was a Swedish politician who held various cabinet and political posts. He was a member of the People's Party. Johan Östling argues that Bergquist was one of the Swedish ''generation of 1945'' figures who had a rationalist approach towards cultural affairs and who experienced the World War I period. Biography Bergquist was born Nävelsjö, Jönköping County, on 1 December 1899. He held a degree in law. After working at courts in 1931 Bergquist became the secretary of the second team committee at the Riksdag. He was the mayor of Västerås in the period 1933–1939 and director general of the national board of health and welfare between 1939 and 1946. Sven Olof Lennart "Svenne Berka" Bergqvist (20 August 1914 – 16 December 1996) was a Swedish football and ice hockey player, known for representing Hammarby IF in both sports. He also played bandy and handball. Bergqvist is one of only three athletes that has competed in the highest Swedish division in four different sports. Early life Sven Bergqvist grew up in a working-class home in a southern part of Stockholm known as Södermalm. He had several siblings and frequently acted as a ball boy during the football matches of the local club Hammarby IF during his youth, studying his idol Victor Olsson. Kajsa Margareta Bergqvist (; born 12 October 1976 in Sollentuna, Stockholm) is a Swedish former high jumper. She won one bronze medal in the Olympic Games, one gold and two bronze medals in the World Championships in Athletics and one gold and one bronze in the European Championships. The Henry J is an American automobile built by the Kaiser-Frazer Corporation and named after its chairman, Henry J. Kaiser. Production of six-cylinder models began in their Willow Run factory in Michigan on July 1950, and four-cylinder production started shortly after Labor Day, 1950. Matt Berquist (born 11 May 1983 in Waipukurau, New Zealand) is a rugby union player who plays at fly-half for Benetton Rugby Treviso in the Rabodirect Pro12.
