BelAZ (, ) is a Belarus, Belarusian automobile plant and one of the world's largest manufacturers of large and especially large dump trucks, as well as other heavy transport equipment for the mining and construction industries. ''BelAZ'' is a site for one of the largest Commonwealth of Independent States investment projects. The factory finalized two of the three scheduled phases of the technical re-equipment and upgrades. BelAZ 75710
The BelAZ 75710 is an ultra class haul truck manufactured in Belarus by BelAZ. As of 2013, it was the world's largest, highest payload capacity haul truck. Design The BelAZ 75710 has a conventional two-axle setup but the wheels are doubled, one to an axle, imitating the 1950s International Payhauler 350. For this reason, it needs two 59/80R63 tires. It also has four-wheel drive and four-wheel hydraulic steering which is unusual. It has a turning radius of about . The 75710 is claimed to carry a load. Žodzina
Zhodzina or Zhodino is a town in Minsk Region, Belarus, located north-east of Minsk. The city covers an area of . In 2021, its population was 65,451. As of 2025, it has a population of 63,354. History The settlement is first mentioned in 1688, belonging to the Radziwiłł family. It has had city status since 1963. On 13 August 2020, Zhodzina was the site of the first large-scale worker strike in Belarus, at the BelAZ automobile plant, in protest of the contested results of the 2020 Belarusian presidential elections. Geography The town, the most populous among the settlements in the surrounding Smalyavichy District, is situated north-east of Minsk and south-west of Barysaw. Mogilvskiy Avtomobilny Zavod imeni S. M. Kirova, abbreviated MoAZ, (/), is an automotive and earth-moving equipment manufacturer located in the city of Mogilev, Belarus. MoAZ has been a subsidiary of BelAZ since 2006. In 1958 MoAZ was named in honor of Sergey Kirov, an early Bolshevik leader in the Soviet Union. History The company was founded in 1935 as Workshop. In 1941 the plant was evacuated to Kuibyshev, where engines for the attack aircraft IL-2 were produced. Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ) (, ''Open JSC Minski Autamabilny Zavod'', ''Minskij Avtomobilnyj Zavod'') is a state-run automotive manufacturer association in Belarus, one of the largest in Eastern Europe. Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko (also transliterated as Alyaksandr Ryhoravich Lukashenka; born 30 August 1954) is a Belarusian politician who has been the first and only president of Belarus since the office's establishment in 1994, making him the current longest-serving European leader. The 2020–2021 Belarusian protests were a series of mass Demonstration (political), political demonstrations and protests against the Government of Belarus, Belarusian government and President Alexander Lukashenko. 2020 Belarusian Presidential Election
Presidential elections were held in Belarus on Sunday, 9 August 2020. Early voting began on 4 August and ran until 8 August. Incumbent Alexander Lukashenko was announced by the Central Election Commission of Belarus, Central Election Commission (CEC) to have won a sixth term in office, crediting him with just over 80% of the vote. Lukashenko has won every presidential election since 1994, with all but the first being labelled by international monitors as neither free nor fair.
