The district elects 2 Greek Catholic parliamentarians, 1 Maronite, 1 Greek Orthodox, 1 Armenian Orthodox, 1 Shia and 1 Sunni. The Beqaa Valley ( ar, links=no, وادي البقاع, ', Lebanese Arabic, Lebanese ), also Romanization of Arabic, transliterated as Bekaa, Biqâ, and Becaa and known in classical antiquity as Coele-Syria, is a fertile valley in eastern Lebanon. It is Lebanon's most important Agriculture in Lebanon, farming region. Industry also flourishes in Beqaa, especially that related to agriculture. The Beqaa is located about east of Beirut. The valley is situated between Mount Lebanon to the west and the Anti-Lebanon Mountains to the east. It forms the northeasternmost extension of the Great Rift Valley, which stretches from Syria to the Red Sea. Beqaa Valley is long and wide on average. Hezbollah

The Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP) or is a Syrian nationalist party operating in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Palestine. Ashraf Rifi
Ashraf Rifi ( ar, أشرف ريفي; also spelled Achraf Rifi) (born 1 April 1954) was the general director of the Lebanese Internal Security Forces (ISF; the national police) from 2005 to 2013. He served as minister of justice from 15 February 2014 to 21 February 2016. Early life and education Rifi was born into a Sunni family in Tripoli, Lebanon on 1 April 1954. Myriam Gebran Tawk (; born 1968) is a Lebanese politician who is a prominent member of the Skaff family in the city of Zahle and the leader of the Popular Bloc, succeeding her late husband Elias Skaff. 2018 Lebanese General Election
General elections were held in Lebanon on 6 May 2018.
