Becca Hamilton
Rebecca Lynn Hamilton (born July 12, 1990) is an American curling, curler from McFarland, Wisconsin. She is a five-time national women's champion, three-time national mixed doubles champion, two-time national junior champion, and a two-time Olympian. At the 2018 Winter Olympics, 2018 PyeongChang Olympics, she competed in Doubles curling, mixed doubles curling with her brother, Matt Hamilton (curler), Matt, along with playing with the women's curling team. She was again on the women's curling team during the 2022 Winter Olympics, 2022 Beijing Olympics. Career Hamilton's junior career involved participating in five straight United States Junior Curling Championships, national junior championships from 2008 to 2012. Doubles curling (most commonly seen as mixed doubles) is a variation of the sport of curling with only two players on each team. Mixed doubles is the most common format of doubles curling, where the term 'mixed' specifies that each team is composed of one man and one woman. 2017 United States Mixed Doubles Curling Championship
The 2017 United States Mixed Doubles Curling Championship was held from March 2–5 at the Four Seasons Curling Club in Blaine, Minnesota. Matt Hamilton and Becca Hamilton won the tournament, earning the right to represent the United States at the 2017 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Lethbridge, Canada. The United States Mixed Doubles Curling Championship is the national curling championship for mixed doubles curling in the United States. The winning team in the tournament represents the United States at that year's World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship. History The 2021 Championship was originally planned to be held February 28 to March 6, 2021 at Great Park Ice & FivePoint Arena in Irvine, California and also be the Mixed Doubles Olympic Trials for the 2022 Winter Olympics. In December, 2020, the USCA announced that all remaining 2020–21 events would be either cancelled or postponed until late spring 2021. These trials have been used to determine the United States representatives in the year's Winter Olympic Games since mixed doubles curling was added to the Olympic program for the 2018 Winter Olympic games.
