2022 United States Mixed Doubles Curling Championship
The 2022 United States Mixed Doubles Curling Championship was held from March 8 to 13, 2022 at Bob Suter's Capitol Ice Arena in Middleton, Wisconsin. The championship featured twenty-five teams that played in a triple knockout format, which qualified eight teams for the championship round. From there, four teams advanced to the four team page playoff round. The winning team, Becca and Matt Hamilton, represented the United States at the 2022 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Geneva, Switzerland. Luc Violette (born March 8, 1999) is an American curler from Edmonds, Washington. He is a five-time United States Junior Champion and was a silver medalist at both the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics and the 2017 World Junior Championships. Curling career Violette started curling competitively at eleven years old. At his first three appearances at the United States Junior Curling Championships Violette played second for Jake Vukich's team, culminating winning the championship in 2014. Aileen Miranda Geving ( Sormunen; born February 13, 1987) is an American curler from Duluth, Minnesota. She represented the United States on the women's curling team at the 2018 Winter Olympics and earned her first national championship in 2020. Career Geving began curling in 1996. She was a national junior champion in 2004 and 2007. Geving skipped a team at the 2005 United States Olympic Curling Trials and qualified for the playoffs in fourth place but lost her page playoffs game against Patti Lank.
