Bayuquan
Bayuquan District () is a district of the city of Yingkou, Liaoning province, People's Republic of China. Located on the northeast coast of the Bohai Sea and in the northwest part of the Liaodong Peninsula, it is south-southwest of Yingkou city centre. This small city is known for its seafood like fish and crabs which are shipped to all parts of the world. This District is also a tourism spot in the summer. Bayuquan is also the site of a large sea port for bulk carriers and container ships, administered along with the port of Yingkou, the latter lying to the north of Bayuquan new port. Toponym The literal translation of the toponym is "Japanese Spanish mackerel arc". The local fishermen began to fish here since the early Qing dynasty, as the coast shaped like an arc and the coastal waters are rich in Japanese Spanish mackerel ("bayu" in Chinese), thus, the area is named after "Bayuquan". Yingkou
Yingkou () is a coastal prefecture-level city of central southern Liaoning province, People's Republic of China, on the northeastern shore of Liaodong Bay. It is the third-smallest city in Liaoning with a total area of , and the ninth most populous with a population of 2,328,582 as of the 2020 census, of whom 1,228,198 lived in the built-up (or metro) area made of three urban districts ( Zhanqian, Xishi and Laobian) and one county-level city (Dashiqiao). The Port of Yingkou is an international seaport in Yingkou, Liaoning, People's Republic of China. It is the second-largest port in northeast China and the tenth-largest nationwide. It includes two separate dockland areas, the ''Yingkou old port'' at the mouth of the Daliao River, and the '' Bayuquan'' port located directly on Liaodong Bay on the Bohai Sea. The port is a major import facility for northeastern China and parts of Mongolia with an annual trade volume of more than 21 million metric tons (MT) through 27 shipping berths. Principal port activities include grain and sugar, timber, oil tar, coal, steel and minerals, and vehicle imports. The port also handles up to 250,000 containers per year. Haidong Subdistrict
Haidong (; Wylie: Haitung) is a prefecture-level city of Qinghai province in Western China. Its name literally means "east of the (Qinghai) Lake." On 8 February 2013 Haidong was upgraded from a prefecture () into a prefecture-level city. Haidong is the third most populous administrative division in Qinghai after Xining and Golmud. Haidong was historically populated by the Qiang people, although the area has been inhabited as early as 6000 years ago. In 121 BC the area was captured by Huo Qubing, defeating the Xiongnu.
