Basketball At The 2023 SEA Games
Basketball was among the sports contested at the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia. The tournaments did not follow FIBA eligibility rules; players only had to have citizenship of the country they sought to represent their national team in the games. This meant that every national team could field as many naturalized players or dual citizens as they wanted regardless of whether or not they had acquired their passport by the age of 16 as per FIBA rules. 2023 SEA Games
The 2023 Southeast Asian Games (, UNGEGN: ''Kar Brâkuŏt Keila Brâchéachéatĕ Asi Aknéy 2023''), also known as the 32nd Southeast Asian Games, or the 32nd SEA Games, and commonly known as Cambodia 2023, were the 32nd edition of the Southeast Asian Games, a biennial sports multi-sport event which was held from 5 to 17 May 2023 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The event returned to its 2-year cycle, as the 2021 SEA Games in Vietnam was delayed to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The announcement was made at the Southeast Asian Games Federation Council meeting in Singapore, in conjunction with the 2015 SEA Games, by the President of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, Thong Khon. The Philippines was originally scheduled to host the games, but was pushed forward to 2019 after Brunei withdrew to host the event. Arvin Tolentino
Arvin Dave de Leon Tolentino (born November 5, 1995) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Seoul SK Knights of the Korean Basketball League (KBL). He also serves as an assistant coach for the PSP Gymers of the Women's Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (WMPBL). Early life Tolentino grew up in Angono, Rizal. He first started playing basketball at 12 years old. He was trained by a friend of his father. Throughout high school, he played for the Red Cubs of the San Beda University. Joseph Eriobu
Joseph Emmanuel Arinze Eriobu Jr. (born February 12, 1992) is a Filipino-Nigerian professional basketball player for the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Professional career Eriobu was a long-time player in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was drafted 4th overall by the Mahindra Floodbuster in the 2016 PBA draft. He would later play for the Phoenix Fuel Masters and Blackwater Elite before being left unsigned to any PBA team in 2019. He would play for Hong Kong Eastern in the ASEAN Basketball League. Almond Pineda Vosotros (born January 26, 1990) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the TNT Tropang 5G of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). In 2018, he signed with Mono Thewphaingarm of the GSB Thailand Basketball Super League. After the season ended, he signed with PEA of the Thailand Basketball League. Ella Patrice Totengco Fajardo (born March 15, 2003) is a Filipino college basketball player who plays for the Iona Gaels of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). Afril Ornedo Bernardino (born April 3, 1996) is a Filipino professional basketball player. She also represents the Philippine national team in international competitions. College career She played for the NU Lady Bulldogs, the women's team of the National University (NU), in the UAAP from Seasons 75 to 79. She has been included in the Mythical Team from Season 76-79. Camille Clarin
Camille Izabel Policarpio Clarin (born May 28, 2001) is a Filipino-Canadian college basketball player. She plays for the NU Lady Bulldogs and also represents the Philippine national team in international competitions. Early life Clarin was born in Antipolo, Rizal, but grew up in Canada. Jack Danielle Santo Tomas Animam (born November 27, 1998) is a Filipino professional basketball player for FCC UAV Arad of the Romanian Liga Națională. Martin Phong Ni Watt Breunig (born 18 February 1992) is a German-Thai professional basketball player who last played for SYNTAINICS MBC of the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL).
