Balsicas
Balsicas is a locality in the municipality of Torre-Pacheco in the autonomous community of Murcia, Spain. It has a population of 3,305 inhabitants. History The town was founded in the fifteenth century. It's name is from the word balsa, or rafts, and derives ultimately from the Muslim rule of Spain. The Sima de las Palomas caves had Neanderthal remains. It boasts historical heritage such as the Castillo del Vizconde Ros and a church dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary located in the southern part of the town. Football Balsicas features a football school and a stadium named "Los Cipreses." The city had three semi-professional clubs: Club Deportivo Balsicas, which played once in Tercera División; Atlético Balsicas, which played only in the 1995–96 season; and Balsicas Atlético, which featured in one Tercera Federación season before selling their place. Club Deportivo Balsicas
Centro Deportivo Balsicas was a football team based in Balsicas, Torre-Pacheco, in the Region of Murcia. The club was dissolved in 2002. History Club Deportivo Balsicas started playing in 1982, managing to reach the ''Regional Preferente'' before selling their place to newly-created Cartagonova FC in 1995, amidst several financial trouble. Four years later, the club returned to an active status under the name of Club Deportivo Equidesa, and switched name to Centro Deportivo Balsicas in the following year. Balsicas achieved a first-ever promotion to Tercera División in 2001, before again selling their place to another new club, Lorca Deportiva CF, in 2002. Another club named CD Balsicas was founded in shortly after, and immediately took Algezares CF's place in Territorial Preferente. Balsicas Atlético
Balsicas Atlético was a football team based in Balsicas, Torre-Pacheco, in the Region of Murcia. Founded in 2002 and dissolved in 2024, the team last played in Tercera Federación – Group 13. The club's home ground is ''Campo Municipal Los Cipreses''. History A club named CD Balsicas previously existed in the city, which started playing in the 1980s before selling their place to newly-created Cartagonova FC in 1995, amidst several financial trouble. Four years later, the club returned to an active status under the name of CD Equidesa Balsicas, and achieved promotion to Tercera División in 2001, before again selling their place to another new club, Lorca Deportiva CF, in 2002. Torre-Pacheco
Torre-Pacheco () is a municipality in the autonomous community of Murcia in southeastern Spain. It covers an area of and its population in 2019 was 35,676. The only high ground in the municipality is Cabezo Gordo hill, the location of the protected Sima de las Palomas archeological site. The town has one secondary education institution, the I.E.S. Sucina
Sucina is a town belonging to the Municipalities of Spain, municipality of Murcia in the Region of Murcia, located in Campo de Murcia, in the Huerta de Murcia Region (although it is also included in the Campo de Cartagena agrarian region), in southeastern Spain. The town is 29 kilometers from Murcia and 15 kilometers northwest of San Javier, Murcia, San Javier. The town has a population of 2,098 inhabitants (INE 2019) and an area of 65,361 km2.
