Baloch Americans
Baloch Americans () are Americans of Baloch descent. A 2015 eight-part documentary by VSH News, the first Balochi language news channel, called ''Balochs in America'', shows that Baloch Americans live in different parts of the United States, including Washington D.C., New York, Texas, North Carolina and Washington. Many Baloch Americans come from Pakistan, both from Balochistan province and Karachi city and elsewhere in Pakistan. Others come from the Iranian province of Sistan and Baluchistan. Many Baloch Americans work at nonprofits, information technology companies and in the public sector. Political activism Baloch Americans are politically active in dealing with issues concerning the Baloch population in Iran and Pakistan. Noon Meem Danish
Noor Mohammed Danish ( ; born 1958), also known as Noon Meem Danish, is a Pakistani poet of African and Baloch descent. Early life and education Danish was born in 1958 in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan to a working-class family. He was raised in Lyari, a largely Sheedi neighbourhood, which he describes as "Karachi's Harlem". He did his early education at the Okhai Memon School in Kharadar, and began writing poetry in 1974. Baloch Council Of North America
Baloch Council of North America (BCNA) is a non-partisan, non-profit advocacy organization in the United States that seeks to "unite all Baloch people and secure Baloch rights, including the right of self-determination, within the Pakistani Federation". BCNA is one of several politically active organizations with roots in the Baloch diaspora, working alongside the Baloch Unity in Russia, and the Baloch Voice Foundation in France. __NOTOC__ Ghulam Mohammed Baloch ( Balochi: غلام محمد بلوچ) was a Baloch nationalist politician. At the time of his assassination in 2009, he was serving as the president of the Baloch National Movement, as well as the General Secretary of the newly formed Baloch National Front. He had earlier served as a chairman of the Baloch Students Organization. His dead body was discovered on 9 April 2009, five days after being detained by gunmen who were believed to be Pakistani Law enforcement officers. The killing led to riots around Balochistan.
