Baladna (company)
Baladna is a Qatari agricultural company that raises livestock and produces dairy products. It is Qatar's largest locally-owned food and dairy producer, supplying over 95% of the country's fresh dairy products. Baladna was co-founded by Syrian-Qatari businessman Moutaz Al-Khayyat and Ramez Al-Khayyat, and is part of Power International Holding. The farms and Dairy Factories are managed by CEO Malcolm Jordan. History The company was founded as a sheep and goat farm. In May 2017, it began producing processed dairy for qatari products for the Qatari market. In the wake of the June 2017 suspension of diplomatic ties of several Gulf countries with Qatar, Baladna, with state support, expanded rapidly into producing cow's milk, which had been supplied to Qatar primarily by Saudi Arabia. Al Khor
Al Khor (; also spelled ''Al Khawr''), officially Al Khor and Al Thakhira, is a Municipalities of Qatar, municipality in northeastern Qatar. Al Khor (city), Al Khor City, the municipal seat, is located on the northeast coast of Qatar, around from the capital, Doha and is considered to be one of Qatar's the major cities. Al Thakhira
Al Thakhira () is a town on the coast of the Al Khor (municipality), Al Khor municipality in Qatar, about northeast of the city of Al Khor (city), Al Khor City and from the capital Doha. Al Thakhira is closely affiliated with Al Khor City, both of which were founded by the Al Muhannadi tribe. Like other coastal settlements in the area, its inhabitants historically relied solely on Pearl hunting, pearling and fishing for sustenance. Moutaz Al-Khayyat (born 31 December 1983) is a Qatari businessman based in Doha, Qatar. He is the chairman of Power International Holding and UCC Holding, a company involved in global building and contracting. Ramez Al-Khayyat is a Qatari businessman based in Doha. He is the President and GCEO of Power International Holding, a Qatari-based conglomerate which operates across general contracting, real estate, food and agriculture, hospitality, and services.
