''Baby I Know'' is the fifth studio album by the English band The Rubettes. It was released on the State Records label in April 1977. The album contained five singles, three UK and two non-UK, including the band's two last charting UK singles - "Under One Roof" and "Baby I Know". In 1992, Dice Records (France) released the Rubettes' fifth and sixth albums (''Baby I Know'' and ''Sometime In Oldchurch'') as a double CD set. In 2015, Caroline Records released the album ''Baby I Know'', with three bonus tracks, as part of a box CD set of the Rubettes' first five studio albums. The Rubettes
The Rubettes are an English pop/glam rock band put together in 1974 after the release of " Sugar Baby Love", a recording assembled of studio session musicians in 1973 by the songwriting team of Wayne Bickerton, the then head of A&R at Polydor Records, and his co-songwriter, Tony Waddington, after their doo-wop and 1950s American pop-influenced songs had been rejected by a number of existing acts. Waddington paired the group with manager John Morris, the husband of singer Clodagh Rodgers and under his guidance, the band duly emerged at the tail end of the glam rock movement, wearing trademark white suits and cloth caps on stage. Their first release, "Sugar Baby Love" was an instant hit remaining at number one in the United Kingdom for four weeks in May 1974, while reaching number 37 on the US chart that August, and remains their best-known record. Mick Clarke (bassist)
Mick Clarke (born 19 June 1989 in Drogheda, Ireland) is an Irish footballer who is currently unattached. Clarke is a defender and plays as a right-back. Career Mick Clarke is a tough defender. He used to play for Irish team Kentstown before moving on to Drogheda United's U17 Team. Clarke made his Drogheda United senior debut in May 2007 in a 3-0 League of Ireland Cup defeat to Shamrock Rovers. In May 2008, he signed a professional contract with Drogheda United. Clarke made a number of first team starts towards the end of the 2008 season. In 2009, Clarke started Drogheda's first league game of 2009 season against Derry City but following this he struggled to hold down a place in their first team. Caroline Records is a record label originally founded in 1973. ''Sign of the Times'' is the fourth studio album by the English band The Rubettes. It was released on the State Records label in June 1976. The album represented a significant change in direction for the band, as it was the first not produced by Wayne Bickerton and Tony Waddington – instead the Rubettes took on production responsibilities themselves, with Alan Blakley (formerly of the Tremeloes) as co-producer. Alan Blakley
Alan David Blakley, (1 April 1942 – 1 June 1996) a British musician and record producer, was rhythm guitarist and keyboards player with the Tremeloes and co-writer of most of their hits until January 1975, when he started writing for other bands. His credits include co-writing (with Len Hawkes) various hits for the Tremeloes, co-producing the UK No. 42 hit " She's Gonna Win", with Bilbo, and co-producing singles and albums by Mungo Jerry with the group's leader, Ray Dorset. He subsequently rejoined The Tremeloes until forced to retire for health reasons. Personal life Blakley married actress Lin Blakley, and they had two daughters: Claudie Blakley and Kirsten Blakley. His brother Mike Blakley was also a musician, and a drummer in the band Christie.
