Bayrak
Bayrak Radio and Television Corporation (; BRT, ''Bayrak'' means ''flag'' or ''banner'' in Turkish), is the official radio and television broadcasting corporation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. It operates BRT1 and BRT2. History The establishment of BRT dates back to the events of December 1963 when intercommunal violence between the Greek and Turkish communities effectively ended the cooperative Republic of Cyprus splitting the island into two as north and south. Until that time, the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC) was run by Greek Cypriots with minority participation by Turkish Cypriots, who had no independent news source and had to depart from CyBC as the inter communal issues became more violent. Bayrak Radio was established on 25 December 1963 to voice the cause of Turkish Cypriots. Bayrak Radio began as a clandestine homemade station, put together with a few pieces of homemade electrical equipment, which was powered by a car battery. It started t ...

Thyristor
A thyristor (, from a combination of Greek language ''θύρα'', meaning "door" or "valve", and ''transistor'' ) is a solid-state semiconductor device which can be thought of as being a highly robust and switchable diode, allowing the passage of current in one direction but not the other, often under control of a gate electrode, that is used in high power applications like inverters and radar generators. It usually consists of four layers of alternating P- and N-type materials. It acts as a bistable switch (or a latch). There are two designs, differing in what triggers the conducting state. In a three-lead thyristor, a small current on its gate lead controls the larger current of the anode-to-cathode path. In a two-lead thyristor, conduction begins when the potential difference between the anode and cathode themselves is sufficiently large (breakdown voltage). The thyristor continues conducting until the voltage across the device is reverse-biased or the voltage is removed (b ...

Time In Brazil
Time in Brazil is calculated using standard time, and the country (including its offshore islands) is divided into four standard time zones: Fernando de Noronha time (UTC−02:00), Brasília time (UTC−03:00), Amazon time (UTC−04:00), and Acre time (UTC−05:00). About 93% of the Brazilian population live in Brasília time (UTC−03:00). Time zones Fernando de Noronha time (UTC−02:00) This is the standard time zone only on a few small offshore Atlantic islands. The only such island with a permanent population is Fernando de Noronha, with 3,167 inhabitants (2022 census), 0.0016% of Brazil's population. The other islands ( Trindade and Martim Vaz, Rocas Atoll and Saint Peter and Saint Paul Archipelago) either are totally uninhabited or have small seasonally rotating Brazilian Navy garrisons or teams of scientists. Brasília time (UTC−03:00) The main time zone of Brazil comprises the states in the South, Southeast and Northeast regions (except the small islan ...

Transjakarta
Transjakarta (stylised in all-lowercase, often erroneously called Busway, sometimes shortened as TJ and branded as TiJe) or Jakarta BRT is a bus rapid transit (BRT) system in Jakarta, Indonesia. The first BRT system in Southeast Asia, it commenced operations on 15 January 2004 to provide a fast public transport system to help reduce rush hour traffic. Dhaka BRT
The Dhaka BRT () or Dhaka Line () is a bus rapid transit system under construction in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The original plan for the network included two lines: BRT Line-3 and BRT Line-7. Currently, only the northern section of BRT Line-3 is under construction, latest updated scheduled for completion by 2025, while the other route is still in the planning phase. The Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation operates a bus route on the incomplete BRT Line-3. History Planning In 2005, the World Bank published a study report, recommending that the government of Bangladesh build a transit system in Dhaka. In the same year, American consultancy firm Louis Berger Group prepared a 20-year strategic transport plan for Dhaka. The World Bank helped to develop this plan, which proposed the construction of three bus rapid transit systems in Dhaka. In 2011, a primary feasibility study was done for BRT by the Asian Development Bank. On 1 December 2012, the ECNEC approved the BRT project under ...

BRT Sunway Line
The BRT Sunway Line is a bus rapid transit (BRT) line that is part of the Klang Valley Integrated Transit System servicing the southeastern suburbs of Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. It is the world's first all-electric Bus Rapid Transit system. This line is operated by Rapid Bus and was introduced in 2015 to service the high-density areas of Sunway and Subang Jaya, replacing an earlier proposal plan for the now defunct Sunway Monorail extension. The BRT buses have an exclusive right-of-way on an elevated guideway that is not shared with normal road traffic. This specially-dedicated and grade separated guideway for BRT Sunway Line buses is almost similar to rapid transit elevated railways. However, bus operators other than Rapid Bus, do not have the rights to use it and there is no ramp available from at-grade roads to the elevated guideway. This closed system is dedicated for a high volume of commuters to avoid congestion. However, this system can only be used along the trac ...
