Awaran
Awaran ( Balochi and ) is the main city of Awaran District in the Balochistan province of Pakistan. Besides serving as the district headquarters, the city is also the tehsil headquarters and a Union Council. Geography Awaran is situated in the southern part of Balochistan, surrounded by arid mountains, rocky valleys, and desert plains. It lies at an approximate elevation of 529 meters (1,736 feet) above sea level. The region experiences an arid climate, with hot summers and mild winters, and very limited rainfall throughout the year. Security and Insurgency Awaran has been affected by the ongoing Baloch insurgency, with militant groups such as the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) operating in the region. Awaran District
Awaran District ( Balochi and ), is a district in the southern part of the Balochistan province of Pakistan. It is part of the Kalat division. It was created as a separate district on 11 November 1992; previously it was a sub-division of Khuzdar District. It is considered one of the poorest districts in the province. Awaran district is bordered by Gwadar to its south, Lasbela to its east, Kech and Panjgur to its west, Khuzdar to its north east and Washuk to its north west. The Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) is a Baloch ethnonationalist militant organization based in the Balochistan region. Balochi (, romanized: ) is a Northwestern Iranian language, spoken primarily in the Balochistan region of Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan. In addition, there are speakers in Oman, the Arab states of the Persian Gulf, Turkmenistan, East Africa and in diaspora communities in other parts of the world.
