Hussein Awada (footballer, Born 1990)
Hussein Melhem Awada (; born 22 March 1990) is a Lebanese former footballer who played as a forward. Awada began his career at Nahda Barelias, before moving to Mabarra in 2007. Four seasons later, in 2011, Awada moved to Salam Sour, before joining Ahed in 2012, with whom he won a league title in 2014–15. In 2016 Awada joined Safa, before joining Shabab Arabi after one season. He moved to Ansar in 2018, then to rivals Nejmeh two years later, and then moved to Sagesse in summer 2021. Awada returned to Nejmeh (2022) and Ansar (2023–2024), where he finished his career. Between 2013 and 2016, Awada represented Lebanon internationally; he played 20 games, scoring one goal. Club career Awada began his senior career at Nahda Barelias, before moving to Lebanese Premier League club Mabarra during the 2007–08 season. George Awada
George Awada (born June 2, 1975) is an American former professional ice hockey player who played in the American Hockey League (AHL), ECHL, and Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL). Career Awada's career began at junior level in the USHL, icing for the St. Paul Vulcans. Awada started well and in his first season as a Vulcan managed 38 points in 47 games. His points return would again improve for the following season, 1994–95, with 54 points in 42 games, well over a point a game average. This potential was noticed and Awada moved into NCAA hockey the following year, playing for St. Cloud State University in his native Minnesota. Awada would stay in St. Cloud for four seasons despite only managing 13 points in his first two terms. This would change for the 1997–98 and 1998–99 seasons and Awada again found his point scoring touch. In his final season for St. Cloud, Awada would ice alongside future NHL player Tyler Arnason. Joe Awada
Joe Awada (born Yehia Awada; ; born 12 March 1959, in Beirut, Lebanon) is a professional poker player, based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Awada moved from Lebanon to the United States in his early teenage years, working as a juggler, eventually touring with the Harlem Globetrotters. After a car accident, he began working as a casino dealer and eventually became a regular on the poker tournament circuit. At the 2004 World Series of Poker (WSOP), Awada finished second to Scott Fischman in the $1,500 no limit hold'em event. Awada would have won the gold bracelet in that tournament were it not for a bad beat on the river that kept Fischman alive—Fischman won the tournament on the very next hand. Later in the same WSOP, Awada won a gold bracelet in the $5,000 seven-card stud event, defeating Marcel Lüske. Alejandro Awada (; December 7, 1961) is an Argentine character actor of Syrian and Lebanese descent. He has appeared in a great number of television series, programmes and onstage. Personal life Awada was born on 3 December 1961 in Villa Ballester, Argentina, the son of the businessman Ibrahim Awada, a Lebanese Muslim immigrant native of Baalbek, and Elsa Esther "Pomi" Baker, of Syrian- Lebanese descent. He was known for his relations with Melanie Alfie, Marina Borensztein and Sabrina Farji and presently with Mishal Katz. He has one daughter, Naiara.
