Avalancha
''Avalancha'' (Spanish for "Avalanche") is the fourth and final studio album released by Spanish rock band Héroes del Silencio in 1995. It is the only album in which Mexican guitarist Alan Bogulavsky plays as a full-time member of the band. It is to date their last studio recorded album. It is considered a turning point in the Rock en Español movement of the 90's and a classic in its own right. It was produced by Bob Ezrin (Lou Reed, Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, Alice Cooper, Kansas, Kiss, etc.) and recorded mostly in different studios in the Los Angeles area. It was followed by a very successful 18-month world tour after which the band went on hiatus until the announcement of a 10 date world tour in early 2007. Reception The album reached the top position in the Spanish album charts and scored positions among the top 20 in three other European countries. Héroes Del Silencio
Héroes del Silencio (Spanish: ''Heroes of Silence'') (well known as Héroes or HDS) was a Spanish rock band from Zaragoza, formed by guitarist Juan Valdivia and singer Enrique Bunbury. The lineup was completed by bassist Joaquín Cardiel and drummer Pedro Andreu. During the 1980s they experienced success around Spain and the Americas, and in various European countries including Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, France, Yugoslavia, and Portugal. They established themselves as one of the major contributors to the '' Rock en español'' scene and are considered to be one of the all-time best bands in that genre. Their trademarks are their intricate lyrics, complicated arrangements and precise rhythm. After twelve years and numerous albums, the band broke up in 1996. Parasiempre
Parasiempre is a live album by the Spanish rock band Héroes del Silencio issued after the "Avalancha Tour" in 1996, where the group performed in Europe, South America and North America. The title is taken from a song of the album Avalancha. The first part of the album was recorded on June 8, 1996 in Zaragoza and the second part on 7 June 1996 in Madrid. In this album the song Decadencia is 11 minutes long and is fully improvised in the last concert of the "Avalancha Tour", in the last minutes the band says: "Nos vemos en la gira del próximo milenio", making a promise to do a tour in the new millennium like the one in September 2007. After being originally issued on CD in September 1996, ''Parasiempre'' was released as a triple vinyl on 12 May 2023. El Espíritu del Vino (Spanish for "The Spirit of Wine") is the third studio album by the Spanish rock band Héroes del Silencio, released in 1993. A double disc special edition was released in December 2006 on EMI. A 20th anniversary edition was released in 2013 with remixed versions of the original tracks including a documentary of the band during their recordings . History After a hiatus (vacation) from the long exhausting tour of the Senda tour, the group would return in December of 1992. The group would work with producer with Phil Manzanera once again, Manzanera would set the group with a house in Chertsey, England and would begin to write material. Bunbury decided to make it a double album which was above the average compared to their other albums. Bob Ezrin
Robert Alan Ezrin (born March 25, 1949) is a Canadian music producer and keyboardist, best known for his work with Lou Reed, Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, Kiss, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Peter Gabriel, Andrea Bocelli and Phish. As of 2010, Ezrin's career in music had spanned four decades and his production work continued into the 21st century, with acts such as Deftones and Thirty Seconds to Mars. Ezrin is the winner of three Juno Awards. In 2011, he was awarded the Special Achievement Award at the 2011 SOCAN Awards held in Toronto. Mœnia is a Mexican electronic/synthpop/ambient group. Juan Valdivia Navarro (; born December 3, 1965), is a Spanish musician and songwriter. He became famous internationally for being the lead guitarist of Héroes del Silencio. In popular music, interpolation (also called a replayed sample) refers to using a melody—or portions of a melody (often with modified lyrics)—from a previously recorded song but re-recording the melody instead of sampling it. Enrique Bunbury
Enrique Ortiz de Landázuri Izarduy (born 11 August 1967), best known as Enrique Bunbury, is a Spanish singer and songwriter. He has been described as "by far the most international star of Spanish rock." He was propelled to fame as lead singer of Héroes del Silencio. After the band disbanded in 1996, Bunbury gradually developed a solo career. His "tessitura" singing style would be in the baritone range. Career Bunbury got involved in music in the early 1980s, making his debut in a high school band called Apocalipsis, and later played along with Proceso Entrópico. In 1984, Bunbury joined a group called Zumo de Vidrio, debuting as a lead vocalist.
