Ashengba Eral
''Ashengba Eral'' (English: ''One's Real Asset'') is a 2023 Manipuri film directed by OC Meira and produced by Kshetrimayum Subadani, under the banner of Dosuyali Films and presented by Leishang. It stars Kshetrimayum Rashi in the lead role. The movie is based on the book of the same title. The film was premiered on 26 February 2023 at Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS), Imphal. It was screened at the 2nd North East India Film Festival, Manipur 2025 in the ''NEIFF Spectrum'' strand. The film got official selection at the Goa International Film Competition 2025. ''Ashengba Eral'' had its regular theatrical run at Friends Talkies, Paona Bazar in March 2023. It also happened to be the last movie to be screened at the theatre before it was completely shutdown. Kshetrimayum Rashi
Kshetrimayum Rashi (''full name:'' Kshetrimayum Ningol Lairellakpam Ongbi Rashi, born March 1950) is an Indian actress from Imphal, Manipur, who worked in theatre and Manipuri films. She was introduced into the world of theatre by her mother Rasamani Devi. She is best known for her role in the movie ''Imagi Ningthem'', which also received wide international acclaim. ''Rashi'' has featured in over 150 radio plays. She was conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 13th Manipur State Film Awards 2020. She is also the recipient of the Sahitya Seva Samiti, Kakching Neta Irawat Leelaroi Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014. Career ''Rashi'' got to know about acting and theatre from her mother. Cinema Of Manipur
The Cinema of Manipur is the film industry based in Manipur, India. It includes not only Meitei language movies but all the films made in different languages of the different communities in Manipur. The Manipuri film industry was born when ''Matamgi Manipur'' was released on 9 April 1972. Before this, there were many attempts to make a film in the state, the most significant being ''Mainu Pemcha'' in 1948 which was left incomplete due to various problems. The tradition of documentary film making in Manipur was said to have been pioneered by the late Maharaj Kumar Priya Brata Singh who shot "actuality movies" with his 8 mm camera in 1936. 2nd North East India Film Festival, Manipur
The 2nd North East India Film Festival, Manipur took place from 12 to 16 February, 2025 at Imphal and Kakching, Manipur. The festival had screened 28 films from North East India. It was organised by THOUNA in association with Film Forum Manipur and Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Government of Manipur. A total of 15 feature and 13 non-feature films were screened at the festival. The opening ceremony was held at City Convention Centre, followed by screening of the opening film ''Mareibak Ningba Herachandra''. Ithoi Oinam
Ithoi Oinam is an Indian film actress who appears in Manipuri films. She started her film acting career as a child artist right from her school days.
