Arvingarna
Arvingarna is a Swedish dansband formed in Gothenburg in 1989. The group consists of Casper Janebrink (vocals and bass guitar), Lars Larsson (guitars, vocals and keyboards), Kim Carlsson (vocals and guitars) and Tommy Carlsson (drums and vocals). At Melodifestivalen 1993, they performed the song '" Eloise", which won, allowing Arvingarna to represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest in Millstreet Co. Cork in May that year, where the song finished 7th. History Arvingarna was founded in 1989, following the members earlier having played heavy metal, without any major successes. The band's name ("The heirs") refers to the group member's parents, who also were active in dansbands. Arvingarna plays a form of dansband music that is it inspired by pop music and rock music, and has also being described as a boyband. Melodifestivalen 2019 was the 59th edition of the Swedish music competition Melodifestivalen and was held from 2 February to 9 March 2019. Presenters were Sarah Dawn Finer, Kodjo Akolor, Marika Carlsson and Eric Saade. Edward af Sillén returned as a consultant and adviser, producing various interval acts for the hosts. The winner of the contest is John Lundvik with the song " Too Late for Love". He represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv, Israel, finishing in 5th place. Sweden was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 1993 with the song "Eloise", composed by Lasse Holm, with lyrics by Gert Lengstrand, and performed by the dansband Arvingarna. The Swedish participating broadcaster, (SVT), selected its entry through 1993. At Eurovision, Sweden performed 13th, following France and preceding Ireland. As the close of the voting, they had finished 7th in a field of 25 with 89 points. Before Eurovision 1993 1993 was the selection for the 33rd song to represent at the Eurovision Song Contest. It was the 32nd time that this system of picking a song had been used. 1569 songs were submitted to (SVT) for the competition. The final was held in the Lisebergshallen in Gothenburg on 5 March 1993, presented by Triple & Touch and was broadcast on TV2 and Sveriges Radio's P4 network.
