Arrowhead Mills is a brand of organic baking mixes, grains, cereals, and nut butters. The brand has been owned by Hain Celestial Group since 1999. Since 2019, the brand has been owned by Hometown Food Co. Its consumer affairs department is located in Boulder, Colorado. History Arrowhead Mills was founded in 1960 by nutritionist Frank Ford in Hereford, the seat of Deaf Smith County in the southern Texas Panhandle west of Amarillo, Texas. Ford sought to sell corn and wheat free of pesticides. The grains were initially stone-ground and sold to local markets. Later, Ford built its current facility in Hereford and added other products such as beans, seeds, cereals, and baking mixes. Brown Rice
Brown rice is a whole grain rice with the inedible outer hull removed. This kind of rice sheds its outer hull or husk but the bran and germ layer remain on, constituting the brown or tan colour of rice.
