Barbara Armonas (; December 28, 1908 – December 25, 2008) was a Lithuanian political prisoner in the Soviet Union. She rejoined her American-born husband and daughter in the United States in 1960, and she published a memoir, ''Leave Your Tears in Moscow'', in 1961. Biography Early years Armonas was born in a small village of near Pasvalys in northern Lithuania. She married a Lithuanian-American machinist, John Armonas, in 1929. They lived in Cleveland, Ohio, for six years; their daughter, Donna, was born in Ohio. Aušrinė Armonaitė (born 26 May 1989) is a Lithuanian politician who served as the chairperson of the Freedom Party (Lithuania), Freedom Party from 2019 to 2024. Previously a member of the Liberal Movement (Lithuania), Liberal Movement and a vice chairperson from 2017 until 2018, Armonaitė was first elected to the Seimas in the 2016 Lithuanian parliamentary election, 2016 parliamentary election. In 2018, she resigned from the Liberal Movement and later joined the social liberalism, social liberal and progressivism, progressive Freedom Party.
