Arindam Sinha
Arindam Sinha (born on 22 September 1965) is an Indian judge, who is currently serving as the Judge of Allahabad High Court. He is a former judge of Orissa High Court, where he has also served as the Acting Chief Justice. He is also former judge of Calcutta High Court. Early life He was born on 22 September 1965. He enrolled as an advocate on 11 March 1991. He practised mainly before Calcutta High Court for 22 years. He was elevated as Additional Judge of the Calcutta High Court on 30 October 2013 and was appointed as permanent Judge on 14 March 2016. He was transferred and took oath as Judge of the High Court of Orissa on 8 October 2021 where he also served as Acting Chief Justice consequent upon the retirement of the then Chief Justice Chakradhari Sharan Singh on 19 January 2025. Allahabad High Court
Allahabad High Court, officially known as High Court of Judicature at Allahabad, is the high court based in the city of Prayagraj, formerly known as Allahabad, that has jurisdiction over the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It was established on 17 March 1866, making it one of the oldest high courts to be established in India. Calcutta High Court
The Calcutta High Court is the oldest High Court in India. It is located at Esplanade Row West, Calcutta (Kolkata), West Bengal. It has jurisdiction over the state of West Bengal and the Union Territory of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Sanjiv Khanna (born 14 May 1960) is an Indian jurist who served as the 51st Chief Justice of India from 11 November 2024 to 13 May 2025. He was the ''ex officio'' Patron-in-Chief of the National Legal Services Authority and the de facto Chancellor of the National Law School of India University. The Orissa High Court is the High Courts of India, High Court for the Indian States and union territories of India, state of Odisha. The then Bengal Presidency was a vast province including present day Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal. It was difficult to administratively manage such a vast area, inhabited by people speaking different languages and having different traditions. In law, a person is acting in a position if they are not serving in the position on a permanent basis. This may be the case if the position has not yet been formally created, the person is only occupying the position on an interim basis, the person does not have a mandate, or if the person meant to execute the role is incompetent or incapacitated. Chakradhari Sharan Singh (born 20 January 1963) is an Indian former Judge, who served as the Chief Justice of Orissa High Court. He has also served as Acting Chief Justice of Patna High Court.
