Are Grongstad
Are Kristoffer Grongstad (born April 9, 1988 in Namsos Municipality, Norway) is a handball player. He chose to retire in 2011, age 23, when he decided to focus on his studies. Handball career Grongstad started in the local handball club Klompen HK, before he decided to move to Trondheim (city), Trondheim to pursue a handball career at the age of 16. He started playing for Strindheim Idrettslag before he quite quickly changed club to Heimdal HK that played in the top league. Because of the financial mess in Heimdal HK they went bankrupt after two seasons in the club. Then Grongstad transferred to Elverum where he played for Elverum Handball. After two seasons in Elverum, he again transferred, then to Nøtterøy Idrettsforening. When Grongstad had completed his second season for Nøtterøy Idrettsforening he chose to retire. Marit Breivik
Marit Breivik (born 10 April 1955) is a former Norwegian team handball player, and former head coach for the Norway women's national handball team. As coach, she has led the team to victory in the 2008 Olympic tournament, the World Women's Handball Championship in 1999, and four European Women's Handball Championships, in 1998 (Netherlands), 2004 (Hungary), 2006 (Sweden) and 2008 (Macedonia). Playing career She was born in Levanger. As a player she played 140 games with the Norwegian national team from 1975 to 1983. She won three Norwegian national championships with her club Skogn IL. She has her education from the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences. Coaching career Breivik has been coach for clubs such as Byåsen IL and Larvik HK, and from 1994 head coach for the Norwegian national female team. Gro Hammerseng-Edin (born 10 April 1980 in Gjøvik as Gro Hammerseng) is a Norwegian former handballer who last played for the club Larvik HK. She was captain of the Norwegian national team for several years, and in 2007 she was voted female World Handball Player of the Year. Club career Hammerseng started her handball career in 1990 at Gjøvik HK (1990–1995). She later played one year for Raufoss IL (1995–1996) and one year for Vardal IF (1996–1997) before starting her senior career in 1997 for Gjøvik og Vardal HK (1997–2003). Nøtterøy is an island and a former municipality in the present-day municipality of Færder in Vestfold and Telemark county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Borgheim. The parish of ''Nøtterø'' was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). Two islands were later transferred from the municipality of Stokke to Nøtterøy: Håøya (in 1901) and Veierland (in 1964).
