Anniken Huitfeldt
Anniken Scharning Huitfeldt (born 29 November 1969) is a Norwegian historian and politician for the Labour Party (Norway), Labour Party. She has served as the Norwegian Ambassador to the United States since 2024. She previously held several ministerial roles under Jens Stoltenberg between 2008 and 2013 and then foreign minister under Jonas Gahr Støre between 2021 and 2023. Personal life She was born in Bærum Municipality as a daughter of public prosecutor Iver Huitfeldt (born 1943) and Sidsel Scharning (1940–1990). She has a sister, Astrid, and a brother, Anders. She is a niece of politician Fritz Huitfeldt and granddaughter of judge Otte Huitfeldt. Huitfeldt grew up in the town of Jessheim. She is married to Ola Petter Flem, with whom she has three children. The Minister of Foreign Affairs (, ) is a councilor of state and chief of the Norway's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Since 16 October 2023, the position has been held by Espen Barth Eide of the Labour Party. Ragnhild Male Hartviksen (born 15 July 1976) is a Norwegian politician. The ''Great Norwegian Encyclopedia'' (, abbreviated ''SNL'') is a Norwegian-language online encyclopedia. It has several subdivisions, including the Norsk biografisk leksikon. Fritz Huitfeldt (4 September 1939 – 27 October 2022) was a Norwegian lawyer and politician for the Conservative Party. Huitfeldt held a cand.jur. degree. He worked in the Foundation for Student Life in Oslo from 1975 to 1987, and in Oslo Bolig- og Sparelag from 1992. He was elected to Oslo city council following the 1979 local elections, but was a deputy member from 1984. In 1989, he was appointed City Commissioner of the Boroughs in the city government of Hans Svelland. He left city politics in 1991, but returned as Chairman of the City Government in 1997. Akershus () is a county in Norway, with Oslo as its administrative centre, though Oslo is not located within Akershus.
