Jalaja (born 13 December 1961) is an Indian actress in Malayalam cinema, Malayalam films and few Tamil cinema, Tamil films, who was active during the 1970s and 1980s. She had won Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress and Filmfare Award for Best Actress (Malayalam), Filmfare Award for Best Actress in 1981 for the movie ''Venal (film), Venal'' directed by Lenin Rajendran. Sreenath
Sreenath Thoppil Inchora (26 August 1956 – 23 April 2010) was an Indian film and television actor. He has acted in many Malayalam films, including '' Shalini Ente Koottukari'', '' Ithu Njangalude Katha'', '' Sarvakalashala'', '' Oru CBI Diary Kurippu'', and '' Kireedam''. Sreenath was a Shiv Sena candidate from the Attingal Lok Sabha constituency in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections. Jagannatha Varma
K. N. Jagannatha Varma (1 May 1939 – 20 December 2016) was an Indian actor who worked in Malayalam film and television industry. He was also a Kathakali artist. His son Manu Varma is also an artist and his son-in-law Viji Thampi is a film director. He acted in a number of Malayalam movies performing roles of a senior police officer, judge or a priest. Some of his noted roles were in movies ''New Delhi'' (1987), Thanthram (1988), '' Lelam'' (1997) and '' Pathram'' (1999), all directed by Joshiy. Varma joined the Kerala Police Force in 1963, before getting active in movies. He retired from the Kerala Police as the Superintendent of Police. T. K. Velappan Nair (27 September 1929 – February 27, 2005), popularly known as Pukazhenthi (also credited as Puhalendi), was an Indian music director of Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu films. Biography Pukazhenthi was born on 27 September 1929, in Thiruvananthapuram, to Keshapillai and Janaki Amma. He did his schooling at V. M. School, Chala. He used the name of Tamil poet Pukazhenthi as an alias when he began his career as a music director, first appearing on the Tamil play ''Thozhan''. Pukezhenthi worked as Mahadevan's associate in 250 films in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. He debuted in Malayalam with '' Muthalali'' (1965). He is known as "Puhalendi" in Telugu film industry. Sathaar
Sathaar (25 May 1952 – 17 September 2019) was an Indian actor who primarily worked in Malayalam films. He made his acting debut with M. Krishnan Nair's ''Bharyaye Avashyamundu'' (1975). He became a hero in 1976, with '' Anaavaranam'', directed by A. Vincent. Even though he started as a leading man, later he became a successful villain as well as a character actor. He also had important roles in the early 80's Tamil films ''Mayil'' and ''Soundaryame Varuga Varuga''. He acted in almost 300 movies including Tamil and Telugu. Sukumaran
E. P. P. Sukumaran Nair (10 June 1948 – 16 June 1997), known mononymously as Sukumaran, was an Indian actor and producer of Malayalam films. Sukumaran became a popular film star in Malayalam cinema during the 1970s. He was considered one of the superstar trios of Malayalam cinema during the late 1970s and early 1980s along with Soman and Jayan. Later, he became known for his character roles and antagonistic roles during the 1980s and 1990s, notably the villain in '' CID Unnikrishnan B.A., B.Ed.'' (1994) and '' Onnaam Muhurtham'' (1991), playing character roles in films like '' Souhrudam'' (1990). In 1978, he won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in M. T. Mala Aravindan (15 January 1939 – 28 January 2015) was an Indian actor. He was best known for his work as a comedian and character artist in Malayalam films. He has acted in over 500 films. Early life Aravindan was born at Vadavucode in the Ernakulam district of Kerala, as the eldest son of Thanattu Ayyappan and Ponnamma. His father was an excise department employee, and his mother, a school music teacher. Soudamini, late Ramanathan (died in 2004), and Prakashan are his siblings. Sukumari
Sukumari Amma (6 October 1940 – 26 March 2013) was an Indian actress best known for her works in Malayalam and Tamil films. In a career spanning more than five decades, She has appeared in more than 2500 films predominantly in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, along with few Hindi and one each in Sinhala, French, Italian, Bengali, Tulu, English and Kannada films. Sukumari began acting at the age of 10. In 2003, she was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India for her contributions toward the arts.
