Antti Emil Linna (7 October 1916 - 17 January 2000) was a Finnish engineer and politician. He was at first active in the National Progressive Party. He was a member of the Parliament of Finland, representing the People's Party of Finland from 1962 to 1965 and the Liberal People's Party from 1965 to 1966. National Progressive Party (Finland)
The National Progressive Party (; ) was a liberal political party in Finland from 1918 to 1951. The party was founded 8 December 1918, after the Finnish Civil War, by the republican majority of the Young Finnish Party and the republican minority of the Finnish Party (the next day the monarchists of both parties founded the National Coalition Party.) In December 1918, the National Progressive Party adopted a social liberal programme that contained a wide range of progressive proposals. Amongst others, these included land reform, state job creation work and unemployment schemes, state participation in the provision of housing-building schemes and compulsory sickness insurance pensions, legislation guaranteeing contracts, conditions of work and a minimum wage, and a progressive income and wealth tax to pay for this social reform programme. Messukylä (, also ) is a former municipality of Finland which was annexed by the city of Tampere in 1947. The medieval stone church (built c. 1540) in Messukylä is the oldest building in Tampere. Kustaa Eemil Linna (17 January 1876 – 10 January 1951) was a Finnish farmer and politician. He served as Minister of Agriculture from 22 December 1928 to 16 August 1929, Minister of Transport and Public Works from 14 December 1932 to 25 September 1936, Deputy Minister of Agriculture from 19 January 1934 to 25 September 1936 and again as Minister of Agriculture from 25 September to 7 October 1936.
