''Annai Vayal'' is a 1992 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by Ponvannan in his directorial debut. The film stars Vignesh, Raj Murali, Vinodhini and Rayalsri. It was released on 25 September 1992 and failed at the box office. Plot Cast Production ''Annai Vayal'' is the directorial debut of Ponvannan. Ponvannan
Ponvannan (born Shanmugam; 23 September 1964) is an Indian actor and director who has worked in Tamil cinema and television. After beginning his career as an artist (painter), Ponvannan apprenticed as a director and writer under Bharathiraja. He subsequently made his directorial debut with ''Annai Vayal'' (1992), before making the critically acclaimed venture, ''Nadhi Karaiyinile'' (2003). He has since appeared as a supporting actor in films, winning acclaim for his role in films including ''Paruthiveeran'' (2007), ''Ayan (film), Ayan'' (2009) and ''Kaaviya Thalaivan (2014 film), Kaaviya Thalaivan'' (2014). In October 2015, he was elected as the Vice President of the Nadigar Sangam alongside Karunas. ''Kalki'' is a Tamil-language weekly magazine published from Chennai, India. The magazine was established by Kalki Krishnamurthy, a popular Tamil novelist and Indian freedom fighter, in 1941. T Sadasivam was the magazine's co-founder. The magazine is known for its publication of historic novels such as '' Ponniyin Selvan'' and '' Sivagamiyin Sabadham''. Singer Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer, guru of M S Subbulakshmi, and music critic S V Seshadri were also involved with the magazine in its coverage of music. Kalki Krishnamurthy also edited the magazine, which is published on a weekly basis. During his term the magazine was much more respected due to its quality. Malaysia Vasudevan
Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), popularly known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a prolific Tamil playback singer and actor. Born in the town of Kuala Selangor in the Federated Malay States (present day Malaysia), he moved to Chennai, Tamil Nadu to work in the Tamil film industry, where he rose to prominence.
