Angela Nunag
Angela Nunag (born December 21, 1991) is a Filipino volleyball athlete. She is currently playing for the Cignal HD Spikers (women's team), Cignal HD Spikers in the Premier Volleyball League. Volleyball career Nunag plays as the Libero of the Philippine Army Lady Troopers in 2012 up to 2016. In 2017, she played for the Creamline Cool Smashers and her team became Bronze medalist in the 2017 PVL Open Conference. In 2018, she transferred back to Philippine Army Lady Troopers and she won best Libero in 2019. In 2020, she played for the Petron Blaze Spikers in the PSL but the tournament was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, she played again for the Philippine Army Lady Troopers. In 2023, she became the captain of her team in the 2023 PVL All-Filipino Conference. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court. The receiving team must not let the ball be grounded within their court. 2014 PSL Season
The 2014 PSL Season was the second season of the Philippine Super Liga (PSL). There were two conferences for the season – the All-Filipino and the Grand Prix – for both women’s and men’s division. The All-Filipino Conference was held between May 16, 2014 to July 26, 2014 with the Generika-Army Lady Troopers and the PLDT Home TVolution-Air Force Power Attackers emerging as champions for the Women’s and Men’s divisions, respectively. The champions of the Grand Prix Conference - the Petron Blaze Spikers (women's) and the Cignal HD Spikers (men's) - will represent the Philippines in the 2015 AVC Club Volleyball Championships. 2023 PVL Invitational Conference
The 2023 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference was the fifteenth conference of the Premier Volleyball League and its six conference as a professional league. The tournament was originally scheduled to start on June 6, 2023, however, it was moved to June 27, 2023, due to the Philippines women's national volleyball team competing at the 2023 Asian Women's Volleyball Challenge Cup. This conference introduced three debuting teams in the league — Farm Fresh Foxies and Quezon City Gerflor Defenders as newly formed teams, and the return of Foton Tornadoes in the Filipino volleyball scene after the original team was rebranded as Chery Tiggo Crossovers in 2020. 2016 PSL Invitational Cup
The 2016 PLDT Home Ultera PSL Invitational Cup was the first indoor volleyball tournament for the Philippine Super Liga's fourth season. It ran from February 18 to April 9, 2016, coinciding with the UAAP Season 78 volleyball tournaments. A guest team from Thailand, playing under the name Est Cola, joined the final round, clashing against top three teams of the preliminary round for the championship. LVPI Director Jeff Tamayo was the guest speaker of the opening ceremonies, while LVPI President Joey Romasanta and Sports5 head Patricia Bermudez-Hizon attended the awarding ceremonies. 2016 PSL Season
The 2016 PSL season was the fourth season of the Philippine Super Liga (PSL). There were three indoor conferences and one beach volleyball tournament for the season. The PSL was also chosen to organize two international volleyball tournaments for the year - the 2016 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship and the 2016 FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship - both of which were staged in the Philippines. Background The calendar of events for the 2016 season was finalized during the planning session between the league officials and team owners on November 11, 2015. Starting this season, teams will offer annual exclusive contracts, instead of per-conference agreements with their players.
