2023 PVL Invitational Conference
The 2023 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference was the fifteenth conference of the Premier Volleyball League and its six conference as a professional league. The tournament was originally scheduled to start on June 6, 2023, however, it was moved to June 27, 2023, due to the Philippines women's national volleyball team competing at the 2023 Asian Women's Volleyball Challenge Cup. This conference introduced three debuting teams in the league — Farm Fresh Foxies and Quezon City Gerflor Defenders as newly formed teams, and the return of Foton Tornadoes in the Filipino volleyball scene after the original team was rebranded as Chery Tiggo Crossovers in 2020. Philippine Army Lady Troopers is skipping this conference due to military training to most of its players. Philippines Women's National Volleyball Team
The Philippines women's national volleyball team represents the Philippines in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches, governed by Philippine National Volleyball Federation since 2021. Philippines' highest achievement was they qualified and competed in the FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship in 1974 edition, where they finished at 18th place. Mylene Paat
Mylene Balan Paat (born April 5, 1994) is a Filipino professional volleyball player. She currently plays for Nakhon Ratchasima of the Women's Volleyball Thailand League. She also represents the Philippines women's national volleyball team. At the collegiate level, she played for the Adamson Lady Falcons indoor volleyball and beach volleyball teams. Early life Mylene Paat was raised in Luac, Bani, Pangasinan, to parents Dante G. Paat and Ligaya B. Paat. Mylene has 4 siblings. Jorge Edson Souza de Brito (born October 13, 1966), known as Jorge Edson, is a retired volleyball player from Brazil. He was a member of the Brazil men's national volleyball team that won the gold medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain by defeating the Netherlands (3-0) in the final. He played as a middle blocker. He was born in Porto Alegre. Coaching career Edson later became a coach. Akari (ASTRO-F) was an infrared astronomy satellite developed by Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, in cooperation with institutes of Europe and Korea.
