Andrew Gallacher
Andrew Gallacher (born 28 March 1976) is a British rally driver from Girvan. He was Scottish Rally Champion in 2018. He is the son of four time Scottish Rally Champion Drew Gallacher. Career His first rally was in 2010 on a round of the Scottish Rally Championship driving a Mitsubishi EVO. Varying results came over the following years whilst driving various cars including a Subaru Impreza, Ford Escort Mk2 and a Ford Fiesta 4x4. Success came in 2018 behind the wheel of a Ford Focus WRC The Ford Focus RS WRC is a car built for the Ford World Rally Team by Ford Europe and M-Sport and based on the Ford Focus Climate 2-litre production hatchback, developed to compete in the World Rally Championship. 2018 Scottish Rally Championship
The Scottish Rally Championship is a rallying series run throughout Scotland over the course of a year, that comprises seven gravel surface events. The 2018 series began in the snow-covered forest tracks around Inverness on 10 February, with the season finale taking place around Castle Douglas on 8 September. Aberdeen based haulage company ''ARR Craib'' were the championship sponsors for the sixth year in a row. Driver '' Euan Thorburn'' and regular co-driver ''Paul Beaton'' who won the 2017 championship did not contest the 2018 championship. The Ford Fiesta is a supermini car that was marketed by Ford from 1976 to 2023 over seven generations. Over the years, the Fiesta has mainly been developed and manufactured by Ford's European operations, and had been positioned below the Escort (later the Focus). Ford had sold over 15 million Fiestas from 1976 to July 2011, making it one of the best-selling Ford nameplates behind the Escort and the F-Series. Ford Focus WRC
The Ford Focus RS WRC is a car built for the Ford World Rally Team by Ford Europe and M-Sport and based on the Ford Focus Climate 2-litre production hatchback, developed to compete in the World Rally Championship. The RS stands for ''Rallye Sport'' and the WRC for '' World Rally Car'', the car's FIA specification. The Focus RS WRC was in competition from 1999 to 2010, winning 44 world rallies and two manufacturers' world titles ( 2006 and 2007). It was replaced by the Ford Fiesta RS WRC.
