Andrea Arcidiacono
Andrea Arcidiacono (born 20 April 1966) is a Swiss journalist and communications manager. He briefly held the office of Vice-Chancellor of Switzerland and spokesperson for the Federal Council between October 2024 and March 2025. After obtaining a bachelor in economy at the University of St. Gallen in 1991, Arcidiacono began a career as political reporter in Bern on behalf of the Radiotelevisione svizzera and the Corriere del Ticino. From 1998 on, he held various roles as spokesperson for Federal Councilors Ruth Dreifuss (1998-2002) and Pascal Couchepin (2006-2007), the Federal Administrative Court (2009-2011) and the Federal Office of Public Health (2017-1018). Federal Chancellor Of Switzerland
The federal chancellor is the head of the Federal Chancellery of Switzerland, the oldest Swiss federal institution, established at the initiative of Napoleon in 1803. The officeholder acts as the general staff of the seven-member Federal Council. The chancellor is not a member of the government and the office is not at all comparable to that of the chancellor of Germany or the chancellor of Austria, or to the United Kingdom's chancellor of the exchequer. Viktor Rossi (born 31 October 1968) is a Swiss politician and civil servant. A member of the Green Liberal Party of Switzerland, Green Liberal Party, he became Federal Chancellor of Switzerland, Vice-Chancellor of Switzerland on 1 May 2019. The Federal Council is the federal cabinet of the Swiss Confederation. Its seven members also serve as the collective head of state and government of Switzerland. Pascal Couchepin (born 5 April 1942) is a Swiss politician who served as a Member of the Swiss Federal Council from 1998 to 2009. A member of the Free Democratic Party (FDP/PRD), he was President of the Swiss Confederation twice, in 2003 and 2008. Couchepin headed the Federal Department of Economic Affairs from 1998 to 2002 and Federal Department of Home Affairs from 2003 until 2009.
