Anand Chaisaeng
Anan Chaisaeng (also spelled Anant, ; 20 January 1927 – 23 November 2023) was a Thai police officer and politician. A member of the Progress Party and later the Thai Rak Thai Party, he thrice served in the House of Representatives: from 1969 to 1976, from 1983 to 1986, and from 2001 to 2005. Bang Pakong District
Bang Pakong (, ) is a district (''amphoe'') in the western part of Chachoengsao province in central Thailand. Bang Pakong District's name comes from the Bang Pakong River. The area has many industrial estates, including the huge gas- and oil-fired Bang Pakong Power Station, and a 180 rai Carabao energy drink production center. History Bang Pakong district was established in 1907. The first temporary district office was a building within the ''Wat'' Bon Khongkharam. In 1908 the government moved the office to the bank of the Bang Pakong River in Tambon Tha Sa-an, which is still the location today. Geography Neighboring districts are (from the north clockwise): Ban Pho of Chachoengsao Province, Phan Thong and Mueang Chon Buri of Chon Buri province, the Bay of Bangkok, and Samut Prakan province. Rattanakosin Kingdom (1782–1932)
The Rattanakosin Kingdom, also known as the Kingdom of Siam after 1855, refers to the Siamese kingdom between 1782 and 1932. It was founded in 1782 with the History of Bangkok#Rattanakosin, establishment of Rattanakosin (Bangkok), which replaced the city of Thonburi Kingdom, Thonburi as the capital of Siam. This article covers the period until the Siamese revolution of 1932. The kingdom governed based on the Mandala (political model), mandala system. Progress Party (Thailand, 1983)
The Progress Party (; ) was a political party active in Thailand between 1983 and 1989. History The Progress Party was founded on 10 December 1980 and registered on 22 March 1983 by Uthai Pimjaichon who had been speaker of the House of Representatives from April to October 1976 and later broken away from the Democrat Party. In the 1983 general election the Progress Party won three seats. In the 1986 general election the Progress Party won seven seats and in the 1988 general election the Progress Party won eight seats. Most of the party's seats represented constituencies in Eastern Thailand, more particularly Chachoengsao and Chonburi provinces. In 1989 Progress Party merged into the Solidarity Party. The Thai Rak Thai Party (TRT; , , ; "Thais Love Thais Party") was a list of political parties in Thailand, Thai political party founded in 1998. From 2001 to 2006, it was the ruling party under its founder, Prime Minister of Thailand, Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. During its brief existence, Thai Rak Thai won the three general elections it contested. Eight months after a 2006 Thailand coup, military coup forced Thaksin to remain in exile, the party was dissolved on 30 May 2007 by the Constitutional Tribunal for violation of electoral laws, with 111 former party members banned from participating in politics for five years. The House of Representatives (, , ) is the lower house of the National Assembly of Thailand, the legislative branch of the Thai government. The system of government of Thailand is that of a constitutional monarchy and a parliamentary democracy. The system of the Thai legislative branch is modelled after the Westminster system. The House of Representatives has 500 members, of which 400 are elected through single member constituency elections, while the other 100 are chosen through party lists parallel voting. Chaturon Chaisang or Chaisaeng (, , born January 1, 1956) is a Thai politics, politician. He was a government member for several terms, serving as Minister of Justice, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Education in the cabinets of Thaksin Shinawatra, Thaksin and Yingluck Shinawatra. In the 1970s, Chaturon was one of the leaders of the leftist, pro-democracy students' movement that initiated the 1973 Thai popular uprising, October 1973 popular uprising against military dictatorship. After the 1976 Thammasat University massacre and return to authoritarian rule, he joined the illegal Communist Party of Thailand. He later fled to the United States, where he furthered his academic studies, earning a master's degree in economics.
