Adrian Amstutz
Adrian Amstutz (born 2 December 1953) is a Swiss politician. He was a member of the Swiss National Council from the canton of Bern from 2003 to 2019. Life Amstutz was born and lives in the rural village of Sigriswil. As a young man, he served in the elite parachute reconnaissance unit of the Swiss Air Force and won the 1978 Parachuting World Cup in the parachuting/giant slalom combination discipline. Trained as an architectural draftsman and head mason, he had to abandon plans for an academic education after marrying his girlfriend, and founded his own construction planning company instead. Daniel Gordon Amstutz (November 8, 1932 – March 20, 2006) was an American government official and business executive who played a prominent role during negotiation of the Uruguay Round of General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade rules on agriculture, and in the U.S. occupation of Iraq. Early life and education Amstutz was born November 8, 1932, in Cleveland, Ohio. Amstutz was raised in Pennsylvania before the family relocated to Columbus, Ohio in 1946, where he graduated from Columbus North High School in 1950 and the Ohio State University in 1954. At Ohio State, Amstutz was president of the Student Senate and on the Student court, as well as being President of the Iota Chapter of the Chi Phi fraternity. Hobart Baumann Amstutz (September 18, 1896 – February 26, 1980) was a bishop of the American Methodist Church and the United Methodist Church, elected in 1956. Early years He was born in Henrietta, Ohio and graduated in 1915 from Oberlin High School (Oberlin, Ohio). He attended Baldwin-Wallace College for two years. He was then drafted into the army in World War I. After WWI, he earned in 1921 his A.B. degree from Northwestern University and in 1923 his Bachelor of Divinity degree from Garrett Theological Seminary and M.A. from Northwestern University. In 1938, Baldwin-Wallace College awarded him an honorary D.D. Missionary service Amstutz served as a missionary in South East Asia beginning in 1926. Ron Amstutz
Ronald Amstutz (born 1951) is the former state representative for the 1st District of the Ohio House of Representatives, serving from both 1981 to 2000, and again from 2009 to 2016. He also served as state senator for the 22nd District of the Ohio Senate and as mayor of Orrville, Ohio. In the House, he was the chairman of the House Finance & Appropriations Committee.
