Amir Sedighi
Amir Sedighi ( fa, امیر صدیقی , born July 16, 1993) is an Iranian professional basketball player who last played for Shahrdari Gorgan in the Iranian Super League as well as for the Iranian national basketball team, as a forward. He is 6'8" in height. He was a member of Iran national youth team attending in 2010 Summer Youth Olympics. Iran finally ranked 12th among 20 teams. In the sport of basketball, there are five players play per team, each assigned to positions. Historically, these players have been assigned, to positions defined by the role they play on the court, from a strategic point of view. The three main positions are guard, forward, and center, with the standard team featuring two guards, two forwards, and a center. Iran National Basketball Team
The Iranian national basketball team is controlled by the IR Iran Basketball Federation. Overall, the team won three out of the last five FIBA Asia Championship tournaments. Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball (approximately in diameter) through the defender's hoop (a basket in diameter mounted high to a backboard at each end of the court, while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own hoop. He currently serves as the head coach for the Nanjing Monkey Kings of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). Basketball at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics was contested by 20 teams each in the boys' and girls' tournament. The tournaments followed the FIBA 3x3 rules and was held at the Youth Space, Singapore. Major rules * Only half of the basketball court is used for the game. * Each team consists of 3 players and 1 substitute. * Game time: Two 5-minute periods or a team scores 33 points or more, whichever comes first.
