Sani Bečirovič
Sani Bečirovič (born 19 May 1981) is a Slovenian professional basketball coach, executive and former player, who last served as the sporting director for Panathinaikos B.C., Panathinaikos of the Greek Basketball League and the EuroLeague. As a player, he was selected in the second round (46th overall) of the 2003 NBA draft by the Denver Nuggets, but never played in the NBA. His father is Memi Bečirović, the former head coach of the senior men's Slovenia national basketball team, Slovenia national team. Professional career Bečirovič played with the Slovenian youth squad teams of KK Bistrica, and he made his debut with their senior team during the 1995–96 season. He then moved to the Slovenian club KK ZM Maribor Lumar, Maribor Ovni for the 1996–97 season. Panathinaikos BC
Panathinaikos B.C. (), also simplified to Panathinaikos, and as Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens for sponsorship reasons, is the professional basketball team of the major Athens-based multi- sport club Panathinaikos A.O. It is owned by the Giannakopoulos family. The parent athletic club was founded in 1908, while the basketball team was created in 1919, one of the oldest in Greece. Along with Aris, they are the only un-relegated teams with participation in every Greek First Division Championship. The Italian Basketball Cup (Italian: Coppa Italiana di Pallacanestro), or Coppa Italia, is an annual professional basketball competition between pro clubs from the Italian Basketball League (LBA). It is Italy's first-tier cup competition, and is not to be confused with Italy's second-tier cup competition, the Italian Legadue Cup. History and format The first edition of the Italian Cup championship took place in 1968, and was won by Partenope Napoli. FIBA EuroStars was an annual All-Star Game showcase of the sport of European professional club basketball. It was organized by FIBA Europe. Commonly considered to be the European equivalent of the NBA All-Star Game, the FIBA EuroStars Game featured the season's best players, from both the European-wide top-tier level EuroLeague, and the European-wide 2nd-tier level FIBA Saporta Cup competitions. Diversity was considered to be paramount in the selection process, which aimed at allowing several different European national basketball leagues to be represented in the game. The EuroLeague is a European men's professional basketball club competition. The league is widely recognised as the top-tier and the most prestigious men's basketball league in Europe. The league consists of 20 teams, of which 16 are given long-term licences and wild cards, making the league a semi-closed league. The league was first organized by FIBA in 1958, subsequently by ULEB in 2000 and then solely by Euroleague Basketball. Fulgor Libertas Forlì was an Italian professional basketball team based in Forlì, Emilia-Romagna, Italy. The club ceased operating in January 2015 due to financial problems. History Fulgor Forlì was founded in 1949 by Stefano Cozzi. It reached the national Serie C by the 1954-55 season, returning to the Promozione in 1957.
