Chalandri, Athens
Chalandri (, Ancient Greek: Φλύα, ''Phlya'', also ''Halandri'', ''Khalandri'') is a town and a suburb in the northern part of the Athens agglomeration, Greece. It is a municipality of the Attica region. Geography Chalandri is a suburb in Northern Athens, around from the centre; its location corresponds with one of the 10 ancient demes (boroughs) of Athens, known as Phlya (). The municipality has an area of 10.805 km2. Chalandri was a small village until the rapid expansion of Athens during the 1960s and 1970s. Alexandros Ioannis "AJ" Ginnis (; born 17 November 1994) is a Greek-American World Cup alpine ski racer. Ginnis specializes in the technical events, with a focus on slalom. Early life Born in Athens, Greece, Alexandros Ioannis Ginnis grew up in the seaside suburb Vouliagmeni. His father ran a ski school and that was where he met his wife. Alexandros started skiing at age two at Mt. Parnassus. When he was twelve, the family moved to Austria. It was then that the young skier decided to make his fun pastime a potential career. Ronald Fred Seikaly (born May 10, 1965) is a Lebanese-American former professional basketball player. He was one of the first internationally born players to make an impact on American basketball.
